Piers Morgan to star on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? after ending feud with Jeremy Clarkson
PIERS Morgan and Jeremy Clarkson have cemented the end of their feud.
The one-time showbiz rivals will go head to head on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
The pair, who famously got into a punch-up at the 2004 Press Awards, have made up after Jeremy’s team emailed Piers to invite him onto the hit ITV show.
It is believed Piers, 55, has asked co-host Susanna Reid to be a Phone A Friend.
But ITV bosses are hoping that US President Donald Trump might be another.
Piers will now sit opposite Sun columnist Jeremy, 60, in the Christmas special of the show, with filming due this month.
A source said: “Morgan and Clarkson squaring off on prime-time will be telly platinum.
"Piers relying on Jeremy for an answer with Ask The Host will be hilarious viewing.
“Piers has asked Susanna, a history buff, and Joan Collins, who has a wealth of general knowledge, to be Phone A Friends. But execs hope Donald might also get a call.”
The source said ex-Top Gear pray Jeremy has been joking if Good Morning Britain presenter Piers doesn’t get to £32,000 “he will never live it down”.
The pair, who also clashed in 2003 when Jeremy allegedly threw wine at Piers as they boarded Concorde’s last flight, began to make-up in a six-hour drink session in 2014.
