Mel B asks Eddie Murphy to pay more child support for daughter Angel

MEL B may have been in the money after the Spice Girls’ lucrative reunion tour last year, but she’s been hit hard in 2020 – and is in a fresh wrangle with ex Eddie Murphy.
The duo share daughter Angel, but are back in the US courts after her lawyer said her income had “dramatically reduced” — in a move set to reignite their fiery disputes.
Mel has asked the dad-of-ten to reveal all about his income in fresh paperwork, as well as pay for her legal costs.
A previous deal agreed in 2009 gave Mel sole custody after Eddie was ordered to pay £21,000 per month plus additional health insurance and education costs.
In new court documents, the star claims she has made “numerous efforts to resolve this case without court intervention without any success,” and has now asked for a hearing in January.
Her lawyers explained: “Eddie and Melanie have both established careers in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, Melanie’s income has dramatically reduced, such that she must consider modifying child support for the first time.” Accounting figures previously showed the band members made around £3.2million each from last year’s bumper run of stadium shows.
But Mel’s costly divorce battle with ex Stephen Belafonte has dramatically dented her bank balance.
Mel had been able to revive a relationship with Eddie after years of acrimony, and the pair were thought to be back on good terms.
She has since moved back to the UK, where she is living in her native Leeds with her mum, Andrea, and plans to rebuild her life.
As one of the most entertaining stars in showbiz, here’s hoping she’s back on top form soon.

Martin ‘too fit’ for lugging kit
GARY Kemp has revealed the real reason he enlisted his younger brother Martin into Spandau Ballet – and it’s not down to his musical talents.
He promoted Martin from lugging kit to centre stage because he was so good-looking. Speaking before the release of their Greatest Hits album on November 27, Gary said: “There are a lot of photos of Martin at that time and he was the spit of Elvis, easily the best-looking and coolest guy we knew. He was our roadie but he was wasted lifting amplifiers in little venues.
“The girls would flock to him, so we decided we had to get him on stage to attract an audience.”
Zen Bugg
MOST people haven’t felt much peace over the past few months but Jake Bugg wants to change all that.
He has revealed that his latest single, All I Need, is about finding happiness and contentment.
Jake said: “All I Need is about a moment of satisfaction or clarity.
“A feeling that comes when you are completely engaged in what you are doing, however you arrived there.”
The upbeat tune is the second single that the Notts-born musician has released this year.
With all this spare time on his hands now, I hope it won’t be long until we get that fifth album.
Maura’s trick of delight
MAURA Higgins got down and Dirrty for Halloween as she dressed up in Christina Aguilera’s iconic outfit from her hit 2002 music video.
The Dancing On Ice star wasn’t the only celeb to rock a blonde wig, with Kendall jenner going platinum for her family’s annual party as Pamela Anderson’s character in 1996 cult film Barb Wire.
Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock made me green with envy as she transformed into an alien life form, while Emma and Matt Willis were unrecognisable in their spooky Beetlejuice get-ups.
Madonna sported a “black widow” look for October 31, and it was an Addams Family affair for Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, while Jack Whitehall’s missus Roxy Horner insisted they get dressed up to watch the Six Nations rugby. Their outfits – and England’s victory – were the only positives to come out of Saturday’s Covid horror story . . .
Struggle without 1D mates
LIAM Payne belted out some of One Direction’s biggest hits during a secret gig in London on Saturday night but admitted he struggles to sing them without his bandmates.
During the virtual show, which was streamed to fans online from The London Dungeons, Liam told the audience he misses Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik.
Liam said: “In rehearsals today I found it hard to sing the songs without the boys.
“It is a struggle, but it brings back so many memories. You’ve got to love it.
“This is the most weird and wonderful show I have ever done. I don’t think I have ever started a show in a cage!”
Liam featured guests at the bash including Harry Potter actor Tom Felton and at the after-party held a live-stream Q&A where he talked about how his son Bear had spent Halloween.
When asked about his son, from his relationship with Cheryl Tweedy, Liam said: “Bear has dressed up as Frankenstein which was really cute. He plays dress-up all the time actually, he’s never really in normal clothes. He’s always got some sort of costume. Today I think he’s a Gruffalo, which I think is cute, and he’s often Elsa [from Frozen], he loves to wear an Elsa dress.”
During his set, Liam also mentioned the arrival of Zayn’s first child with model Gigi Hadid.
Talking about the tot along with Louis’ son Freddie, Liam said: “Three of us have children now. We’ve almost got enough for a new band.”
He also revealed he has spent his time in lockdown getting to know his local eateries.
He joked: “The Chinese takeaway near my house know me on a first-name basis. What can you do?”
I know the feeling, Liam.
Craig wants big bash for his 40th
HE planned his Seven Days well in advance – and it turns out Craig David is taking the same approach to his upcoming birthday.
The garage legend will celebrate his 40th next May and revealed he’s dreaming up a blow-out bash if restrictions allow.
Craig said: “It’s May 5, I’m putting it out there. I would love to do something to mark the occasion. I’ve not been bothered about the other birthdays.
“They have been cool, I do something small with my friends and family.
“But if the world is in a situation where I can do something big I want to do it. If not I’ll just get in a good cake and indulge.”
And while some stars don’t embrace the milestone birthday, Craig said he was relishing the thought of entering his fifth decade.
In an exclusive interview following the release of new single Really Love with KSI, which is at No3 in the singles chart, Craig added: “I am looking forward to turning 40.
“I feel like the best years of my life have been gearing up to here.”
Damon's remedy
DAMON Albarn has urged MPs to work out a way to allow live music venues to reopen as quickly as possible after lockdown.

Speaking yesterday, the Blur frontman explained: “It’s a medical emergency but an existential one as well. You’ve got to allow music to continue. We are trying to preserve everyone’s health so passionately. We mustn’t ignore live music in that prescription. If people are willing to perform, they should be allowed to. We can make it work so everyone feels comfortable.”
Damon’s one of the coolest guys in showbiz and he’s spot on about this, too.
