Jeremy McConnell reveals a huge tattoo in memory of his late mother and brother
The Celebrity Big Brother star's mum Valerie and brother David both passed away when he was a teenager
JEREMY McConnell has unveiled a huge new tattoo in honour of his late mother and brother.
The Celebrity Big Brother star is already inked all over but he found room on his leg for a fresh one to remember his family.
He shared a snap of the design on Instagram which features a Marilyn Monroe-esque woman smoking a cigarette with a dollar-sign necklace around her neck.
“Valerie 24.7.03,” is written on the left hand side of her chest while the right side reads, “David 22.4.04".
Jeremy, 26, lost his mother Valerie and his brother David within the space of 15 months when he was a teenager.
Earlier this year, he spoke about the tragic time.
He said: "I lived with my mum in County Wicklow, my mum and dad were separated since I was one.
"We were very close. We didn’t have much but she’d make sure I had football boots and we’d struggle for a bit of lunch, she’d be that way inclined.
"When I was fifteen I was at my cousin's and my mum fell asleep. I got back about two hours later and she was gone - she had a brain haemorrhage. Dead on arrival."
Opening up about losing two family members in such a short space of time, Jeremy admits he misses them all the time.
He said: "Shortly after that my brother broke his neck off in a motorbike accident. After that, my sister had a heart attack – she suffered with epilepsy. All in the space of fifteen months.
"Of course I miss them, I loved them dearly, but I think that’s what levelled me out a bit – I express myself the way I want to. I just grew up really fast. I don’t really give a s***.
"I don’t take life seriously whatsoever – it is what it is. I do what I want.
"There’s people that feel like they’ve got to abide by rules in a box, I kind of just flow.”
Jeremy has been in Dublin for the past few weeks where he has got a number of new tattoos.
One is a skull with a native Indian headdress while he also got a locket on one leg and a cross on the other.
He captioned the snap: "Feet jammers today, thanks AJ, Leo."
It's been a dramatic few weeks for Jeremy as he recently denied that his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Davis is pregnant with his baby.
He told TV Now magazine: “Look, if she is pregnant it’s not my kid.
“It was a known thing that we spoke about after we broke up, that she came on.
“She had her period. We had been broken up.”
Meanwhile, Steph recently discovered the sex of her baby after a visit to a psychic.
The self-styled “psychic to the stars” exclusively told The Sun Online she visited the ex Hollyoaks babe’s home in Liverpool after Steph got in touch seeking some otherworldly advice.
The medium and author confessed she had no idea who Steph was before their chat and didn’t even know the former soap babe was pregnant, before she added: “I couldn’t see a baby bump.”
When quizzed about how she knew Steph was expecting she told us: “Her grandad told me.
“There was such happiness from her grandad, her mum and from Steph.
“I don’t really want to say about the sex, because I don’t want to break her confidence, but yes [the grandad] did give a clear indication and yes, I am sure.”
While he denies he's the father, she pregnant actress had criticised the Irish model for not showing up for the baby scans and going out partying instead.
Speaking to Closer magazine, she said: “I’m going ahead with the pregnancy on my own and I’m happy raising this baby alone.
“Jeremy is a k**b head who didn’t come to the scan but I am moving forward.”
