OLYMPIC hero Sir Mo Farah has signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out Of Here!
Britain’s most successful athlete, 37, will go into isolation this week for the ITV show.
Mo will join campmates at new venue Gwrych Castle, North Wales, next month.
The four-times Olympic gold medallist is sure to be among the favourites to be crowned King of the Castle as he takes his first strides into reality TV.
Mo first started watching the ITV series a decade ago when one of his sporting heroes former sprinter Linford Christie took part.
A telly insider told The Sun: “Mo’s been a big fan of the show for years and was just waiting for the right time in his career to do it.
“He obviously has an excellent level of fitness and mental focus so will be great at the Bushtucker Trials and will be a positive addition for keeping up team morale for campmates - especially as a lot of the celebs are worried how cold it will be.
“It’s his first foray into reality TV so he’s a bit nervous about the challenges and will miss his family.
“But he thinks it’ll be an amazing experience and the opportunity of a lifetime.
“It’s a massive coup for producers to bag Mo for the series. Everyone’s really excited about the signing and think he’ll be a hit with viewers.
“It’s the first time he’s agreed to do anything like this, so it’ll be a massive draw for sports fans.”
Long-distance runner Mo is Britain’s most decorated athlete. He won Olympic gold in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres at London 2012 and the Rio games in 2016, together with ten world titles.
The Team GB superstar is loved for his Mobot celebration jig in which his hands and arms form an M-shape over his head.
Mo will go into isolation this week in readiness for the start of the show on November 15.
This year’s series will take place in Gwrych Castle, near Abergele North Wales, after Covid-19 scuppered filming at the usual site in the Australian jungle.
Mo — who received a knighthood in 2017 for his services to athletics — lives in London with his wife Tania, 34, and their four children.
He previously admitted his worst fear was “seeing a snake” and worst habit was “being ruthless”.
The Sun last week unmasked West End actress, singer and dancer Ruthie Henshall, 53, operatic tenor Russell Watson, 53, and Paralympian Hollie Arnold, 26, as contestants.

The set at the previously derelict 200-year-old castle will include familiar features such as the central camp fire, congregation and task areas and an outside toilet.
But because of the UK’s chilly weather, the celebrities look set to sleep in a covered, heated space.
