Louise Redknapp fears she’ll ‘never fall in love again’ and hasn’t gone on a date since split with Jamie three years ago

LOUISE Redknapp claims she has yet to go on a single date since splitting from husband Jamie more than three years ago.

The singer, 45, also reckons she might never fall in love again — and even then eldest son Charley will veto any prospective men.

In a interview, she admits she is still coming to terms with her divorce from the former Liverpool footballer, 47.

The mum of two says: “I don’t think I’m ever going to be able to have a boyfriend because, first of all, the 16-year-old is like, ‘Well, how they’re going to get past me?’

“Sometimes I go, ‘How would you feel if I went on a date?’ He’s like, ‘I don’t want to talk about it’.

“It’s not looking positive for me when it comes to love life.

The comments by Naked singer Louise’s comments, on the Spinning Plates podcast, come nearly three years after she and TV pundit Jamie divorced in December 2017 — the year she starred on stage in Cabaret.

He has moved on, recently confirming he was in a relationship with Swedish model Frida Andersson-Lourie, 37.

But former Eternal member Louise says: “I’m by no means in this amazing place; if I said I was, I’d be lying.

" I’ve still have so many struggles on a daily basis because I don’t know if someone ever gets over getting divorced after 20 years.

“I don’t think that will ever get easier for someone like me.

“I don’t want to feel hurt, I don’t want to feel worried about everyone I know and love, I don’t want to worry that everything I do will have a negative effect.”

But for her song Stretch she was filmed dancing in a leotard while getting close with a topless male model and gyrated on a chair.

Louise said: “They made me promise I wouldn’t make any more like that. That was the only part they weren’t happy about.”

Otherwise, the lads are supportive.

She added: “My son had his 15 and 16-year-old mates round and I could hear Stretch on.

"They didn’t even know I was in the house. I came downstairs and I was like, ‘Caught you!’".
