I’m A Celebrity pay packets revealed as king of the castle Mo Farah races to the top of the rich list
I'M A Celebrity's stars are preparing for a show like no other this year as they swap the balmy jungle in Australia for freezing north Wales.
But how much does it cost to convince the celebs to rough it in a haunted castle?
Our TV insider, who has signed a host of huge stars for primetime shows, has estimated what they reckon the lineup are likely to have pocketed.
And it seems like Mo Farah is the king of the castle so far with a huge £300k pay packet before the show has even started.
Here's our exclusive round up of the celebrity wages so far - totalling a huge £700,000.
Sir Mo Farah - £300,000
Topping the list is four-times Olympic gold medallist Mo who will have pocketed a mega fee to camp out in North Wales on the ITV show next month.
The Sun's telly insider said: "It's a massive coup for producers to get Mo for the series. Everyone's really excited about the signing and think he'll be a hit with viewers.
"It's the first time he's agreed to do anything like this, so it'll be a massive draw for sports fans."
Vernon Kay - £150,000
Vernon Kay - worth an estimated £4million - is believed to have picked up an estimated £150,000 for the potential three-week stint, according to our telly sources.
The former Family Fortunes host was a major coup for show bosses who are convinced his northern charm and down-to-earth persona will be a hit with viewers.
Vernon's jungle stint will be his most high profile gig in years, and he'll be cheered on by wife Tess Daly and their two children.
Bev Callard - £125,000
Corrie legend Bev Callard is next up on the list, racking in an estimated £125,000 pay cheque.
The Liz McDonald star has a lot to live up to as soap stars often do well on the show.
Last year, ex-co star Andy Whyment lost out to EastEnders' Jacqueline Jossa in the final.
Russell Watson - £100,000
Opera singer Russell Watson is getting an estimated £100,000 for his time in the castle.
The star was spotted at a secret photoshoot in Kensal Green, North West London, last week ahead of isolating for a fortnight to take part in the series.
Russell’s appearance in the show comes after he fought off a near-fatal brain tumour in 2007, which required emergency surgery and an extensive rehabilitation programme.
Jessica Plummer - £75,000
Hot off the heels from her dramatic departure from EastEnders, Jessica is said to have received £75,000 to take part.
It's thought she earned between £400 and £2,000 per episode of EastEnders.
So she's likely to earn half her annual salary for just a few weeks work.
Not only was she a popular soap star, Jessica was also a part of girl band Neon Jungle - giving her a potentially large fan base.
Ruthie Henshall - £75,000
West End star Ruthie Henshall is also said to have been paid £75,000 to take part in the show.
A telly source last week told The Sun bosses will hope she'll open up about her past relationship with Prince Edward.
The insider said: “Ruthie is a particularly exciting signing for I’m A Celebrity as viewers will want to see if she divulges any gossip on her relationship with Prince Edward.
“They’ll be hoping she lets slip some juicy information on her posh ex during cosy, intimate chats round the campfire.”
Victoria Derbyshire - £75,000
BBC journalist and current affairs reporter Victoria is set to go in with an estimated £75,000.
Victoria’s new venture comes just months after the Beeb axed her daily talk show.
The broadcaster is a respected and admired figure.
She overcame breast cancer after being diagnosed in 2015.
Hollie Arnold - £50,000
Paralympic hero Hollie Arnold is said to be receiving £50,000 and will add a bit of fitness to the group - vital for the castle trials.
The star won gold for the javelin in the 2016 Rio Olympics and is hoping to take home the crown after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics were cancelled.
AJ Pritchard - £50,000
Dancer AJ left BBC goliath Strictly Come Dancing earlier this year and is now estimated to earn £50,000 for his appearance on I'm A Celebrity.
As one of the Strictly professionals he would have been paid a flat fee of £50,000 a series.
