Curtis Pritchard reveals bromance with Love Island co-star Tommy Fury is over after boxer ‘pies him off’
CURTIS Pritchard has revealed that his bromance with Love Island co-star Tommy Fury is over after the boxer "pied him off" and refused to reply to his messages.
The 24-year-old professional dancer and 21-year-old boxer may have found love in the villa but they also struck up a very special bromance on Love Island.
But it looks like their bromance may be over after Curtis confirmed that he has not spoken to his former best pal for "ages", despite him reaching out to the boxing star.
Speaking with his brother on their new , the former Strictly professional asked his brother if his and Tommy's bromance was still going strong.
Curtis replied: "If you want the honest honest truth - I haven't spoken to him in ages actually.
"I got a new phone and I lost his number. I have messaged him on Instagram a couple of times but I've been pied off by him.
"I've messaged Tommy and he hasn't replied. We are friends but we haven't spoken in a while."
The Love Island favourites formed a solid bromance during their time in the villa and even took it to the next level after sharing a kiss.
The pair made viewers laugh as they grabbed each others faces and kissed one another on the lips, before saying the L word.
The pair even cemented their friendship after they teamed up for their own reality show where they swapped their boxing and ballroom careers.
The unlikely duo bagged their own spin-off show dubbed The Boxer And The Ballroom.
It saw Tommy, brother of boxer Tyson Fury take to the dancefloor, while Curtis stepped into the ring.
Curtis continued: "I do remember Tommy was never good at replying when we did Boxer and Ballroom Dancer.
"I remember Chloe who was his dance partner was messaging Tommy saying 'where are you? You are an hour late for rehearsals' - and absolutely nothing came back from Tommy. He wasn't even there, I think he was in bed sometimes."
He added: "We are friends, but we haven't spoken in a while."
Curtis and his ex-girlfriend Maura Higgins recently called time on their eight month relationship.
The Irish beauty had raged that photos of her ex Curtis snogging a dancer had left her "humiliated".
The 29-year-old Love Island star is said to be hurt after the hunk was spotted being intimate with the girl he was rumoured to have cheated on her with.
There was previously speculation about Curtis' relationship with Amber Pierson, and now Irish beauty Maura is furious that she didn't "follow her gut".
A source told us: “Maura feels humiliated, as she had suspicions of Curtis cheating and believes now she should have trusted her gut feeling at the time. She feels she stayed in the relationship too long and should have cut ties when she started to have doubts.
“Curtis is adamant his relationship with Maura ended long before his romance started with Amber. But he’s not stupid and can see how it looks.
“Maura is in a really great place right now, though. She’s got really good mates around her and is focusing on herself, on her career and the many exciting projects she has coming up.”
The Love Islander took to social media to vent her anguish.
Maura tweeted, “The truth always comes out in the end” then posted on Instagram: “Always trust your first gut instincts. If you genuinely feel in your heart and soul that something is wrong, it usually is.”
Tommy's girlfriend and fellow Love Island star Molly-Mae Hague has been a shoulder to cry on for the former ring girl.
Best pals Maura and Molly-Mae recently splashed out on a luxury trip to Greece.
Maura also enjoyed a sleepover earlier this month with Molly and her influencer's boyfriend Tommy at their swanky penthouse apartment in Cheshire, Greater Manchester.
The Irish beauty lives on the same street as her other Love Island co-stars; Chris Taylor, Danny Williams, Michael Griffiths, and Jordan Hames, and regularly spends time with them.
Maura and Chris have sparked dating rumours after they cosied up to one another on a lunch date - but have continued to deny rumours.
Despite appearances, Maura recently hit social media to insist she's not dating her former Love Island co-star, telling fans: "We are the best of friends."
