OUTNUMBERED’S Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner are seen taking a stroll after the stars called their relationship a “lovely surprise”.
The actors, who played the mum and dad in the series, confirmed their romance during a chat on ITV's Lorraine, describing their relationship as "a lovely little life surprise".
Claire, 55, and Hugh, 58, looked loved up as they went for a stroll around Hampstead Heath in matching jeans and hoodie outfits.
Going from on-screen couple to off-screen couple might have been cause for scandal but for fans of the hit BBC show it was a dream come true.
Claire and Hugh starred together in the sitcom as couple Sue and Pete Brockman, who are parents to three children, Jake, Ben and Karen, from 2007 until 2014.
The couple are thought to have started dating in 2017 after splitting from their respective partners.
Claire confirmed her relationship with Dennis in an interview with The Times not long after, and said that "nobody really noticed" when they first started dating.
"People said to us that someone will notice soon but I kept telling them, 'We're both over 50. Why would anyone be interested in that?'" she said. "We've got families we wanted to protect, but everybody's pretty cool and happy with it."
During her interview with Lorraine back in 2019, the host said to the actress: “And of course, you two are together, I didn't even know that! That's brilliant, congratulations.”
To which Claire replied: "It's a lovely little life surprise, isn't it! It's been lovely."
