MICHELLE Keegan has been a crackshot soldier in Our Girl — now her TV celeb hubby could be firing Crawley Town to glory.
Towie star Mark Wright, 33, is eyeing a move to the League Two team after they drew up a contract for him.
He has impressed coaches in training recently — and any deal would instantly make Michelle, also 33, the most glamorous supporter in English football.
An insider said: “Mark’s a talented footballer who played semi-professionally before he moved into the entertainment industry.
“Football is a huge passion of his. He’s a real asset on the pitch and is fighting fit so the club’s bosses are keen to see if he would join.
“Mark’s not officially agreed to anything yet but Crawley think it won’t be long until he says yes.”
Mark played as a semi- professional for Southend before joining Towie in 2010.
As a youth he played for West Ham United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
In 2006 he spent nine games on loan at Crawley, scoring once.
He is a regular for England at Unicef’s annual Soccer Aid match and was scouted by Manchester United after a wonder goal in 2016’s game.
His brother, Leyton Orient midfielder Josh, 30, played four games on loan at West Sussex club Crawley in 2014.
Mark and Michelle wed in 2015 then had a long- distance relationship for two years after he moved to Los Angeles to work in US TV.
He moved back in 2019 and the couple now plan to stay in the UK — making a move to Crawley, 12th in the table, more appealing
Michelle quit as Lance Corporal Georgie Lane in BBC hit Our Girl in January.
This week she was pictured on the set of Sky One comedy drama Brassic as it films a second series in Lancashire.
Heart FM DJ Mark filmed a pilot for a US series during lockdown.
