TEED-OFF!

I’m A Celebrity bans nosy fans from ruining series by shutting top golf club next door to castle for a whole MONTH

I’M A Celebrity has banned nosy fans from ruining the series by closing a golf club next door to their castle camp for a whole MONTH.

The Sun Online can reveal locals who are hoping to tee-off at The Abergele Golf Club have been told to stay away as the celebrity show is given priority.

The top golf club bordering the I’m a Celeb set has banned “pay and play” £40-a-round golfers while the ITV show is being filmed to keep out prying eyes.

Now only members can traipse around the course while Ant and Dec are in town.

The £730-a-year North Wales club, which has an 18 hole course, confirmed that it would have limited access next month.

The Abergele business said that it will “temporarily close” to visitors from November 5 until December 5”.

This will likely encompass the ITV production, which usually runs from mid November to early December

A statement: “We look forward to welcoming visitors again before or after this time!”

The spokesperson was unable to comment on the reason behind the temporary closure.

But a source said: “It is control who is on the course and stop nosy fans booking a slot to play golf and going off through the undergrowth and having a nose around the set.

“By only allowing members, the club can control who is on the course and the committee will know that its paying members won’t do anything untoward.”

The club’s professional golfer, Stuart Runcie, said that he’ll “definitely” invite its presenters to a game.

The latest news comes after the club announced a promotion to coincide with the I’m a Celebrity production.

The initiative, which ends on November 2, invites anyone called Ant or Dec to play a round for free.

This can be redeemed by calling the club – though photo ID will be necessary.

And the sports venue isn’t the first local attraction to close to visitors ahead of the ITV reality series though.

It was previously confirmed that Manorafon Farm Park would close for the remainder of the year.

The animal attraction, just outside the castle’s estate, was later revealed as an additional I’m a Celebrity location.
