YOU don’t need a steady hand or great aim these days to hit the easy target of this comedy film: the American political right.
We often smirk at our friends overseas now for their declarations of ‘fake news’ and lack of understanding of irony.
But Sacha Baron Cohen works hard to make sure this sequel to his 2006 box office smash isn’t just pointing and laughing at fear-loving, gun-toting extreme Republicans.
While there are some jokes that are similar to the first film – like when he takes daughter Tutar (Irina Nowak) clothes shopping, and asks the saleswoman to show them to the “No means yes section.”
But there are also some hugely brave hoaxes, with the scenes exposing former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani’s disconcerting behaviour surely going down in prank history.
And if you thought nothing could beat Borat and his obese friend running naked around a conference room holding a giant sex toy 14 years ago, you’d be wrong - the dance at the father-daughter ball will have you screaming and cringing all at once.

With a brash, Tweetaholic president in the White House, many say satire is dead.
