Is Big Brother’s Jayne Connery really as innocent as she’s trying to pretend to be?
The private investigator claims Chelsea Singh pursued her – but was it the other way round?
BIG Brother’s Jayne Connery has revealed to her housemates that Chelsea Singh pursued her for a romantic relationship but she turned him down.
He, on the other hand, claimed it was her who chased him in an attempt to “do a kiss and tell with me!”
And while many would scoff at his arrogance – after all, he’s not a celebrity – is there actually a ring of truth to Chelsea’s claim?
Because in her real life outside of the house, Jayne is a private investigator and the managing director of Spouse Investigation Services, or SIS, a business she set up to catch out cheating husbands.
Speaking to the Sun on Sunday last year, she said: “I am not a honey trap and I don’t use sexual innuendo to find out if a man wants to be unfaithful.
“I don’t use sexual tone and don’t dress in provocative clothing. I usually go into a bar and strike up a conversation. As part of the conversation I might ask, ‘Are you single?’ and if they say yes then that’s enough for me, and normally that’s enough for the client, too.”
The 49-year-old also charges up to £1,000 a time to suspicious wives who want to catch out their love-rat husbands.
So when Chelsea said “kiss and tell”, could he have really meant that Jayne was hired by someone to catch the entrepreneur out?
Jayne set up the business in January 2014 after she discovered that some of her former liaisons were either married or in long-term relationships.
They included footballer John Terry, who was engaged at the time to his now-wife Toni, and she also had a romance with former England manager Sven-Göran Eriksson although he was with then-girlfriend Nancy Dell’Olio while seeing her.
Jayne denied she knew about Toni and Nancy, but Chelsea implied that she did as he spoke to Jackson and Alex inside the house.
He gathered them in the kitchen and told them: “Jayne is the biggest f*****g liar you have ever met in your life.
“Can I tell you a secret? She slept with John Terry, went to the papers, sold the story. Sven-Göran Eriksson as well. And listen to this – she goes, “I didn’t know John Terry was married’.
“F*** off, you were seeing him for half a f*****g year, he never let you into his house.
“You went to the newspapers and sold the story, you did the same with Sven Goran Eriksson.”
Chelsea then accused her of trying to get with him so she could sell her story because “she knows I’ve got a couple of quid”.
But Jayne said he was the one chasing her and this week she told fellow housemate Natalie they had kissed and added: "He was the one after me, I told him I didn't want a relationship as he was with someone, I have proof of that.
“He told me he didn't have a partner, it was never a romantic thing, he wanted it and I said no, he's not my type. I wanted him as a friend."

Jayne revealed she knew Chelsea when the ‘Other’ housemates were shown who was in the main house and said: “I never had any relationship with him but we were really good friends.
“Who knows what might have happened but we fell out just before Big Brother. It was very recent, weeks ago. He is one of the nicest guys and that’s what’s upset me.”
She didn’t elaborate on the reason for the falling out but she demanded an apology from him when they first came face-to-face inside the house and said she would "forget everything" if he apologised to her.
He nodded yes and she added: “'Do you have a partner or not?' to which he responded: “It's complicated.
He told her it was “just a game”, but she fired back, “It's not a game when it involves feelings.”
But are they her feelings she was talking about or someone else’s?
Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
