ITV to show 15 cars worth more than £100m racing at Goodwood this weekend

I THOUGHT Top Gear had pricey cars but ITV is certainly doing its best to rival the BBC motoring show.

At the weekend it will show one of the most expensive races in the world with 15 cars worth more than £100million in total.

One, a Porsche 917K, is worth more than £20million alone. The race at iconic track Goodwood marks the 50th anniversary of the first of Porsche’s 19 wins at the 24 Hours Of Le Mans race.

It’s all part of the Sussex venue’s SpeedWeek, hosted by X Factor’s Dermot O’Leary on ITV. The behind-closed-doors event can be viewed on a live stream on the Goodwood website.

It kicks off at 9.15am tomorrow and runs for the whole weekend. 

TV coverage begins at 4.30pm tomorrow on ITV4, with races shown across the weekend and ITV’s prime channel hosting some of them on Sunday afternoon.
