Suzanne Somers, 73, rushed to hospital for neck surgery following ‘intense pain’ after fall down stairs
SUZANNE Somers revealed she was rushed to the hospital for neck surgery after experiencing "intense pain."
In a new Instagram post, the 73-year-old actress explained that she fell down the stairs and is recovering from a fractured hip.
"I had an intense amount of pain after the fall that was not resolving – even after having tequila!
"After several scans, it was determined I had 2 vertebrae out of place which was causing pressure on nerves and creating that tremendous pain."
She then shared the "good news," writing: "I had neck surgery to correct these issues and now I am on the mend!
"I need a bit more time to recover before I can join you again at the bar for our virtual cocktail parties.
"In the meantime, we will keep the sales going on our site."
The Step by Step star then encouraged her fans to keep up with her recovery process by following her social media pages and checking out her website.
The post concluded with Suzanne thanking for fans for her support as she takes time off of social media to heal.
She wrote: "As always, I so appreciate your love and support. Be back soon!"
