BGT in new Ofcom row as 892 complain after comic ‘mocks racists’ and Amanda Holden wears raunchy dress

BRITAIN'S Got Talent has been hit with a staggering 892 Ofcom complaints after its episode this weekend.

The Sun Online can reveal the show received 733 objections over comic Nabil Abdulrashid's jokes about race, with another 136 relating to Amanda Holden's outfit.

The remaining 23 complaints made to the TV watchdog about the show covered a variety of other subjects.

Almost 28,000 people have complained to watchdog Ofcom about this series alone, making it the show with the most complaints this decade.

Diversity's performance last month received 24,500 complaints after some viewers were left outraged by the political message behind the routine, which was inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement.

The dance saw Ashley Banjo lay on the floor with a white man's knee to his neck, mirroring the tragic killing of George Floyd in the US, and all of the members were seen taking the knee.

Amanda, 49, sparked controversy last week after wearing a dress that some viewers said they could see her nipples in.

But, defiant as always, she wore another racy gown on Saturday's show that one viewer compared to lingerie - sparking a new round of complaints.

Nabil, meanwhile, made it through to the final of the ITV talent show after a comedy set about racism where he attacked "angry far-right guys".

He said: "Angry far-white guys come out going: 'Look at that, it's terrible him doing jokes about being black and muslim. If a white non-muslim did that it would be racist.'

"Well, duh. That's like me saying: Look at that guy kissing his wife, it's romantic. But if I kiss her..."

Nabil also joked about white people mistaking him for rapper Big Narstie saying: "People watching will think that it's another of one of those Black Lives Matter guys doing jokes about stop and search.

"No, it's a joke about being fat. Big Narstie and I are both fat, we just both happen to be black too. Don't throw in the race card guys!"

He also joked about his "white, liberal, left-wing friend" saying: "We all have to have one because if I get killed, someone has to start the Gofundme."

His set, which was heavily praised by Alesha Dixon, left many viewers laughing at home but others said it was too controversial for the show.

One said: "Alesha calling him 'brave' for tackling racism. So brave to talk about a subject that's been politicised & rammed down our throats for months by every media outlet and corporation."

Another fumed: "F*****g disgrace that was even shown. If that wasn’t racism I don’t know what was."
