Coleen Rooney claims Rebekah Vardy is only doing Dancing On Ice to win over the public
COLEEN Rooney has accused “desperate” Becky Vardy of doing Dancing on Ice to drum up support before their megabucks libel fight.
Mum-of-four Coleen, 34, who accuses Becky, 38, of leaking stories about her, joked: “She’ll need all the money she can get to take me on.”

Coleen hit out after submitting a 55-page defence on Friday in support of her allegation that Becky, 38, leaked stories about her to the media.
Mum-of-five Becky — pictured this week taking a rest in bed with her ice skates on — has vowed to do “whatever it takes” to clear her name but Coleen hit back: “Game on.”
A source said: “They’re both digging in for the long haul. Neither one is prepared to back down.
"Becky’s decision to do Dancing on Ice is understandable from her point of view.
“She sees it as an opportunity to prove to people that she’s not who they think she is.
“She wants them to see her not as a snake or a grass as she’s been labelled, but a devoted mum and wife. Coleen’s not having it though.
“As far as she is concerned Becky is using it to get the public on her side ahead of their libel trial.
"Coleen is absolutely certain she is right and is standing true to her beliefs.
"She knows she might lose and have to pay damages but she doesn’t care.
"This isn’t about money to her — it’s about principle and honesty and she will shell out however much it takes.”
We can reveal Coleen, wife of former England and Man United great Wayne, 34, has been seeking a solution to their dispute since April.
At a time when Covid was killing thousands, she feared a costly public spectacle would do neither woman any favours.
Mediation failed when Becky, wife of England and Leicester City striker Jamie, 33, demanded an apology.
Coleen’s defence argue she has “reasonable grounds” to suspect Becky of leaks.
She claims she planted fake stories on her Instagram that ended up in the media.
Coleen says she had blocked access to all bar one follower — later revealing: “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”
Coleen’s lawyer, Paul Lunt, said she “repeatedly offered” to meet Becky “to resolve their differences” but Becky and her lawyers had “preferred instead to pursue these issues in court”.
