Who is Nicholas Lyndhurst’s wife Lucy Smith?
LUCY Smith has been married to Nicholas Lyndhurst since 1999.
They have tragically lost their son, Archie Lyndhurst at the age of 19.
Lucy saw Nicholas perform in a West End show twice before leaving him a bottle of champagne with a note.
He had already spotted her in the front row and invited her for a drink with the cast.
Nicholas is clearly protective of her, having once said this of her career as a dancer: "I wasn't having any of that. Dancers - they only get to change their shoes when the audience can see the blood."
Who was their son Archie?
Together Nicholas and Lucy had a son named Archie.
Archie sadly passed away at the age of 19 after a "short illness".
On September 22, 2020, Archie was found at his family home in Fulham.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Archie followed in his dad's footsteps and acted in shows such as So Awkward.
He bagged his first role aged 11 and has since appeared in TV shows including Casualty and Bad Education.
At the time of his tragic death he was in a relationship with his co-star, Nethra Tilakumara.
In response to an emotional post about Archie's death on Instagram by Game of Thrones star Samuel Small, Lucy wrote: "He will love you and watch over you forever."
John Challis said “My heart aches for Nick and Lucy.
"They could not have loved him more.”
