ARCHIE Lyndhurst was well known and loved by CBBC fans, thanks to his role on So Awkward.
Sadly, it was revealed in January 2021 that he had passed away from a brain haemorrhage the previous October.
Who was Archie Lyndhurst?
Archie was just 19 when he passed away and like his famous father, Nicholas Lyndhurst, was also an actor.
He was born on October 22, 2000.
Archie lived with his dad and his mum Lucy, a former ballet dancer.
His dad is best known for playing Rodney Trotter on Only Fools and Horses.
How did Archie Lyndhurst die?
On September 22, 2020, Archie passed away at his family home in Fulham, in non-suspicious circumstances.
Police and ambulance were called “to a report of a concern for welfare” and Archie was declared dead at the scene.
On January 15, 2021 it was announced that Archie had suffered a brain haemorrhage and tragically died in his sleep.
His mum Lucy posted on Instagram: "He died from an Intracerebral Haemorrhage caused by Acute Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Leukaemia.
"This is not Leukaemia as we know it, the word Acute in medical terms means rapid.
"He assured us that there wasn’t anything anyone could have done as Archie showed no signs of illness.
"Archie had numerous bleeds on the brain and the Dr went to great lengths to reassure us that he wouldn’t have been in any pain as it happened in his sleep.
Paying tribute to her only son, she added: "The world is a very different place without him.
"One of my last conversations with him was about all that was going on in the world, the chaos, anger about all different subjects.
"He looked at me with his huge blue soulful eyes, shook his head and said 'All the world need is love Mama, it’s so easy to love'.
It comes after into the inquest into his death was abandoned.
On October 1, 2020, his mum Lucy posted an emotional tribute to her son.
In response to an emotional post about Archie's death on Instagram by Game of Thrones star Samuel Small, she wrote: "He will love you and watch over you forever."
Who did Archie Lyndhurst play in So Awkward?
Archie started acting when he was 11 but was best known for playing Ollie Coulton in CBBC's So Awkward from 2015.
He was popular on the show and appeared in all six series.
Archie was dating So Awkward co-star Nethra Tilakumara with the pair posing in a number of romantic pictures on his Instagram story.
The couple, who had been together a year in April 2020, were pictured on holiday in Amsterdam and Paris with love heart emojis adorning touching snaps.
What else did Archie Lyndhurst star in?
Like his dad, Archie had a passion for acting.
When he was 15 he landed a role in short film, The Infectious Imagination Of Henry Bramble.
Archie also played a young version of Jack Whitehall’s character Alfie Wickers in the sitcom Bad Education and guest starred in an episode of Casualty.
Archie previously revealed that his dad Nicholas warned him against a career in showbusiness.
He told Tresa Magazine: “He eventually asked me why I wanted to be an actor, and I said it’s because I wanted to make people laugh.
“He then sent me to drama school, I got my first agent, I started getting work, and now I’m here.
