Ex EastEnders star Tony Discipline reveals he’s quit acting to become a fireman
FORMER EastEnders star Tony Discipline has revealed he's quit acting to become a fireman.
The actor played Tyler Moon, cousin of Walford favourite Alfie Moon, on the BBC soap from 2011 until he was written out in 2013.
Viewers will remember Tony's character also enjoyed an on/off romance with Whitney Dean, and the pair even got engaged.
The 31-year-old originally revealed his career change to his 10,400 Instagram followers in March, although many believed he was dressed in character for a new role.
He surprised his social media fans once again earlier this month as he posed in front of a fire engine in his turnout pants and a red London Fire Brigade T-shirt.
In the picture he shared on September 2, Tony went without a caption and let the pic do the talking with his followers commenting in their droves about his new job.
One penned: "Are You A Fireman Now Then 😍".
"You got a new job 👍" another penned. "Well done mate".
While former EastEnders star James Forde, who swapped the screen for life as a builder, commented: "Fair play geeza good on ya!
"We’ve both gone back down to reality! 🤣"
Speaking to in 2017, Tony, who previously dated Jacqueline Jossa, said he was 100 per cent open to a return.
He explained at the time: "When it was time to leave the show, I didn't want to go – however, there were no more storylines for Tyler.
"The best thing to do was have him go off on that cruise, but it's been a blimmin' long holiday. I think it's time he came back.
Adding: "When I got the call for EastEnders, it was like winning the lottery. I was working at Billingsgate Fish Market in the day and going to acting classes at night.

"It was so surreal to go from selling sea bass to being stopped in the street and asked for a picture."
However, it is yet to be seen whether he will following his career change.
After EastEnders, Tony starred in short movie Birds and Dogs and appeared in mini-series Murder in the Carpark in June.
