JEM GETS A-HEAD

Netflix’s Sex Education is getting even sexier as Jemima Kirke signs up as hot head teacher for series three

NETFLIX hit Sex Education is about to get a lot sexier with Jemima Kirke playing the new head at the show’s Moordale High.

The star of steamy drama Girls will arrive at the school for series three, taking over from Mr Groff, played by Alistair Petrie.

I’m told Jemima was keen to join the cast after enjoying the first two seasons, and she is showing her dedication to the role by moving to Wales, where the series is shot, for six months.

She has even got a smart new look after chopping off her long blonde hair.

A TV insider said: “The arrival of a sexy woman as head will sensationalise pupils who are more used to a stern middle-aged man running the show.

“But she will prove to be a formidable figure and add to a cast already filled with strong female roles.”

Gillian Anderson stars as the sex therapist mum of lead character Otis, who is played by Asa Butterfield, and Emma Mackey is Otis’s love interest Maeve.

The comedy drama gained a cult following when first released in 2019, and its popularity soared with the second series earlier this year.

The third run is currently being filmed back in the Wye Valley, on the border of England and Wales, and is expected to be released in 2021.

Jemima shot to fame playing wild child Jessa Johansson in HBO drama Girls, starring Lena Dunham, which received criticism for its explicit sexual scenes when it aired from 2012 to 2017.

Despite having an American accent and being raised in New York, Jemima was born in London and is half British.

I just wish she could have been my headteacher at school.

Chi loves the isle life

LOVE Islander Arabella Chi shot to fame in the Balearics, so it’s no surprise to find her back there enjoying the sun.

The model and social influencer was in the villa last year, and after leaving the ITV2 show she went on to date Wes Nelson for nine months.

Arabella is pictured in Ibiza doing what she does best by showing off her incredible physique at the Atzaro Beach Club in Cala Nova.

Posting the images on instagram, she wrote: “Smiling is free therapy. Happy Monday.”

That’s easy to say when you are relaxing on a Mediterranean island.

Sonny joins musician and telly presenter Myleene Klass, comedian Rufus Hound, rapper Lady Leshurr, Towie’s Billie Faiers and former England footballer Wayne Bridge on the skating contest.

Last month Sonny got engaged to his girlfriend of three years, Lauren Faith, on a boat ride off the Greek island of Mykonos.

And after getting down on one knee on the bow of a yacht, he told his fans in a video shared on Instagram: “I couldn’t be happier.”

We know who’ll be cheering him on the loudest when the show returns in January.

Gripped by rude meaning

THE Singapore Grip is ITV’s latest period drama – but some viewers have got more than they bargained for when looking up the show online.

It turns out the title is also a rather rude technique employed by the sexually adventurous.

The six-part series looks at how the British Empire was humiliated by the Japanese invasion of our colonies during World War Two.

Its title suggests it is all about how we had a tight grasp on power in the region.

David Morrissey, Luke Treadaway, Elizabeth Tan and Charles Dance star in the drama, which does not contain any scenes quite so racy as the other meaning, it should be stressed.

The Sunday night series follows the son of a wealthy family who becomes involved in a love triangle.
