Clarkson was seen wearing an eye patch on in early November - but only for pre-recorded segments.
"Instead of Coach Kelly for the battle rounds… y’all get Captain Kelly," Clarkson tweeted on November 9, along with a video of her wearing the patch.
The Voice airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.

Why is Kelly Clarkson wearing an eye patch?
Clarkson explained why she has gone with the pirate look at times in recent months.
"Something got in my eye and it got a little infected, so I have to wear an eye patch," she explained on Twitter.
She recalled to : "We did this long shoot for The Voice and I was up in this window. These buildings out here on the Universal lot are all dusty and I'm highly allergic to dust.
"Well, something had gotten in my eye... and maybe cut it, did something."
"It got infected... When it first happened it was so puffy. I was like, 'What am I supposed to do?'"

What did Clarkson say about the eye patch?
Kelly addressed the fact that she was wearing an eye patch in a teaser for The Kelly Clarkson Show.
She admitted: "Yes, I am in an eye patch. How much more Kelly can it get?”
In another clip from the promo, she sat with actor Dennis Quaid, telling him: "usually I don't look like a pirate."

She replied: "good answer."
Despite her jokes about her appearance, concerned fans took to the comment section to speculate.

She has been seen making appearances on NBC's Sunday Today and the Today show eye patch-free, so it seems that the Because Of You singer has fully recovered from the infection.
