BIG parties are officially out and intimate dinners for six are in.

You can pick anyone you like for the ultimate fantasy Come Dine With Me.
To provide you with some inspiration, we asked six Sun contributors to select five people they would like to share an evening with.
They tell Grant Rollings which celebs, politicians and royals they would love to have around their dinner table for good conversation – and a great party.
Rhian Sugden
Sitting around the former Page Three girl’s table are . . .
LEWIS CAPALDI: A very funny guy and an absolute powerhouse of a singer, Lewis is bringing a lot to the party. Imagine the karaoke sessions we could have with him.
BOB MORTIMER: If you’ve not seen the Train Guy sketches the comedian does on Instagram and Twitter, go and look at them now, as it is the best thing on social media. I want him doing it in my living room, over and over again.
JENNIFER SAUNDERS & JOANNA LUMLEY: Absolutely Fabulous is still one of my fave TV shows. We would drink champagne from the bottle and dance around the house like lunatics – presuming they would be in character as Patsy and Edina all the time.
RICKY GERVAIS: Even his cackle makes me belly laugh so I’ve got to pick Ricky. He would take the mick out of everyone else around the table and make things very amusing.
Tony Parsons
The Sun on Sunday columnist chooses . . .
MASON GREENWOOD: The new Beckham. It would be interesting to talk to him about how a young, working-class lad copes with superstardom.
MICHEL BARNIER: Every dinner party needs a guest who is argumentative and capable of starting a fight in a phone booth.
PIERS MORGAN: My old friend loves people, parties and wine. Especially wine. His 50th birthday party is still spoken of in hushed, reverential tones by those of us who were there.
THE QUEEN: Dictators, monarchs and superstars – Her Majesty has met them all. Who could be more interesting than the most famous woman on the planet?
MEGHAN MARKLE: Watch her argue the toss with Piers – cruelly cut from her life when she bagged Harry. See her tersely discuss constitutional reform with the Queen, bat her eyelids at young Mason and reveal how she intends to heal the world with Monsieur Barnier. Bring a bottle.
Konnie Huq
Telly presenter Konnie selects . . .
GEMMA WHELAN: She played Yara Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones. Gemma is one of those rare gems who can do both comedy and serious stuff flawlessly. I met her recently and she was just so lovely.
DAISY MAY COOPER: I love This Country and we get on like a house on fire. Daisy is funny, sharp and intuitive. Plus she probably needs a break as she has just had a baby.
JACK MONROE: I love this food writer’s ethos. She could rustle up amazing dishes on a shoestring, everyone would be well fed.
MICHELLE OBAMA: I’m a bit of a fan girl. She must have many fascinating stories to tell from her time in the White House.
DR SHEILA KANANI: She is an astrophysicist working at the Royal Astronomical Society and I just recorded a podcast with her. Thanks to Dr Sheila I feel like I now understand the basics of astrophysics. She would be great at telling us all mind-blowing stuff in a fun way.
Alex James
The Blur bassist and cheese maker picks . . .
GIZZI ERSKINE: If you’re having a dinner party, it’s always good to invite someone who can help cook. The celeb chef makes me laugh as well.
MATT PARKER: He’s a mathematician and a stand-up. I have been deep-diving into nerdy maths videos during lockdown.
EDDIE HOWE: I’ve watched Minus 17, the story of how former AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie kept the club alive in the 2008-09 season, about 20 times in lockdown and I still cry every time. As a Bournemouth boy, I’d like to give Eddie a big old pat on the back.
ADELE: Always good to have a musician or two around – and we need new music. What was the big hit this summer? There wasn’t one. Come on, darling – get your finger out.
A NEW FRIEND: I’d like to invite a random person that I happened to meet on a night out. All my greatest friendships go back to random encounters in big cities – and in 2020, that is what I really miss.

Virgin Radio’s Drive host invites . . .
ALISON HAMMOND: A regular on This Morning, Alison is also my best friend from Big Brother. I would have plenty of cuddles and laughs with Ali by my side.
LONDON HUGHES: She is the funniest stand-up comedian I’ve seen in the past year. London would provide jokes and be my drinking buddy.
MARY BERRY: The queen of baking would rustle up fresh bread, cakes and biscuits for me. She also reminds me of my late grandma, who I miss terribly.

NOEL GALLAGHER: Oasis are my favourite band in the world and I’ve always wanted to learn the guitar. Noel could teach me and then we could duet.
JANETTE MANRARA: I’ve been keen to learn new skills during lockdown and I have always wanted to dance like the pros on Strictly Come Dancing. Maybe Janette could give me some lessons. The first dance we would learn would be the Dirty Dancing routine.
