This Country’s Daisy May Cooper names son after late co-star Michael Sleggs
THIS Country's Daisy May Cooper named her son after her late co-star Michael Sleggs.
The BBC star, 34, revealed the baby boy is called Jack Michael Weston - with his middle name dedicated to her co-star.
Daisy shared an adorable photo of her baby son asleep in the car seat, dressed in a blue woollen hat and wrapped in a blanket.
She captioned the pic: "Lots of you have been asking what the bubbas name is. We have named him Jack Michael weston.
"The middle name Michael after our dear friend Michael sleggs who we lost last year. May the spirit of sluggs live on!"
The actor, who played Michael 'Slugs' Slugette in the BBC Three comedy, passed away overnight in 2019 after living with a serious heart condition for many years.
Daisy announced the arrival of her son on Tuesday but was forced to stay in hospital after a "traumatic few days".
She thanked the medical staff for looking after her and her newborn son in a cute social media post.
In the snap, Daisy is looking down at her son, who is wearing a knitted red hat and wrapped in a blanket.
Her husband, Will Weston, is proudly beaming at them, gazing adoringly at his little one.
Daisy did not reveal when she went into labour, or her son's name - simply captioning the post with a string of heart emojis.
A second photo showed the tired new mum grinning in her hospital bed as she cradled the little one, who this time is wearing a blue knitted hat and patterned mittens.
The actress is in a star-printed pyjama top and make-up free.
This time, Daisy wrote: "The bubba has landed and he's absolutely perfect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍 @willwestonlandscape"
