‘We were very, very friendly’: Big Brother’s Jayne Connery reveals she knows main housemate Chelsea Singh

Big Brother housemate Jayne Connery has revealed that she had a relationship with main housemate Chelsea Singh shortly before they joined the show.

Jayne, one of the six ‘Other’ housemates who are hidden from the main house, was in the living room with the gang watching audition tapes.

And she looked visibly shocked when London-born entrepreneur Chelsea Singh came on the screen – which her new housemate Natalie Rowe instantly picked up on.

The others were too busy watching Ryan Ruckledge have a hissy fit when he discovered his arch-enemy Sam Giffen was in the next house.

As Jayne was confronted with her recent past, she sat back on the sofa looking a little stunned.

Natalie sat next to her and leaned in and whispered, “Are you ok? Do you know someone? Is it Chelsea?”

Jayne clearly didn’t want to talk in front of the Others but Ryan’s shouting gave her the opportunity to say to Natalie: “Yes. It’s complicated, I won’t tell you now. “

Then Andrew got wind of their chat and came over and asked, and she said “I’ll tell you later."

Later on, the Others were sitting outside in the garden when Jayne decided to spill the beans.

She said: “There was one guy in there that I yeah – Chelsea. I never had any relationship with him but we were really good friends.

“Who knows what might have happened but we fell out just before Big Brother. It was very recent, weeks ago.”

“He is one of the nicest guys and that’s what’s upset me.”

When asked what she’d do if they came face to face in the main house, she said: “I know what I’d do, I’d hug him.

“But suffice to say, we fell out just before Big Brother so it could be awkward.”

Viewers took to Twitter to express their thoughts on what they thought was an odd love-match and one wrote: “Would not have thought Jayne and Chelsea would’ve attracted each other.”

Another said, “Dying to know what went down with Jayne & Chelsea,” while another added: “I like how Jayne held her own and kept her knowing Chelsea quiet.”

Just prior to that, Ryan was seen screaming and shouting at the television after discovering Giffen was one of the main housemates – and there was clearly no love lost between them.

He said: "Oh my god he tried to take two of my exes from me!"

He said: "Get me into that f*****g house now. That guy is going to wish I was never in the f*****g place, I swear to god…I am raging!

"Oh my god I swear to god I am going f*****g insane. I don’t give a f***. I’m raging mate. I’m going red in the f*** **g face."
