Gino D’Acampo says his wife’s not jealous of him being surrounded by women saying ‘if you want to cheat you’ll do it’
GINO D’Acampo has opened up about the strength of his marriage to wife Jessica, saying she gives him “a lot of freedom”.
The 41-year-old chef, who is taking over as the host of Family Fortunes, said she doesn’t get jealous even though he’s always hanging around with women.
He told the ‘s Weekend magazine: “I employ more than 700 women in my restaurants. In TV, I’m surrounded by women. I love it.
“Women are more interesting than men, but my wife loves it too. She doesn’t get jealous.
“She understands that if you want to be unfaithful, you’ll do it anyway. It’s a matter of trust.”
This Morning star Gino says he has the same attitude, explaining: “If she wants to have dinner with an ex-boyfriend, I couldn’t care less.
“I want her to be happy. If that makes her happy that evening, I’m doing my job.”
Gino and Jessica, who is half-English half-Italian, met when he was 18 working at Sylvester Stallone’s Mambo King restaurant in Marbella.
The teenage sweethearts tied the knot in 2002 and went on to have three children – Luciano, 18, Rocco, 15, and Mia, eight.
They were recently seen in bed together when Michael McIntyre invaded their bedroom for a prank feature on his BBC series Big Show.
