Tom Jones tells audience about how he would play his wife his new music before she died
Singer made emotional tribute as he took to the stage at Hampton Court
SIR Tom Jones revealed to fans that he would play his new music to his dying wife and sought her approval with his latest album before she passed away.
Performing at Hampton Court Palace on 8 June, the 75-year-old welsh crooner dedicated new track Take My Love (I Want To Give It) to her memory.
The new song is taken from his new album Long Lost Suitcase, which he created during her illness.
Tom told the crowd: "This next song is from the new album Long Lost Suitcase and I love this song.
"It's probably my favourite song from the album.
Anytime I used to record I would take it home and play it to my wife first to see what she thought so I'm going to do this song.
"She loved this song so I'm going to do it for you."
Sir Tom's wife, Lady Melinda Rose Woodward, died in April after battling cancer.
