Love Island’s Curtis Pritchard thanks cruel trolls for fat-shaming him as he shows off impressive weight loss
LOVE Island star Curtis Pritchard has thanked the trolls who fat-shamed him - as it changed him for the better.
During his time on the ITV2 show last year the professional dancer received nasty comments about his body, which continued after he left the villa.
It's little wonder he gained a little weight on Love Island when for two months all he and his fellow co-stars did was lie around doing nothing but tanning and “cracking on”.
However, on getting out, Curtis joined Weight Watchers and is having the last laugh at the bullies.
Celebrating his first year with the programme, the 24-year-old is now a proud gold member and loves whipping his kit off whenever possible.
Speaking about his lifestyle overhaul, Curtis told : “I’ve always been focused on my diet and body. I haven’t always been focused on it in the correct way, that was the problem.
“And then going into Love Island, putting on a lot of weight and coming out again and being fat-shamed, it was really the perfect time to become an ambassador for Weight Watchers and join the family.”
The reality star revealed it was difficult leaving the show and seeing all the offensive remarks about his weight.
He said: “On a truthful note it isn’t nice to say something nasty about someone. It isn’t nice to do and be on the receiving end. But you know what, look at me now.
“I’m so positive and confident in how I look and feel now, I thank them for what they did because they really made you focus and this relationship came together with Weight Watchers.
“I’m an ambassador and part of the family now so I can only say thank you to them because it changed the way I am. But obviously it’s not nice when that stuff happens and I would never wish that on anyone.”
Curtis is feeling so body confident he’s got no qualms about stripping off giving his Instagram followers a glimpse of his hot new look.
The professional dancer's love life has also been making headlines of late after he split from girlfriend Maura Higgins, and was linked to dancer Amber Pierson.
The reality star also recently reunited with his Love Island "half-girlfriend" Amy Hart for a friendly catch-up.
Curtis revealed: "Amy’s lovely, we spoke after the show and stuff.
"We’ve been in contact and were always friends and never were like, 'I’m never talking to you again'. We’ve been friends so it was just nice to see her and good to catch up."
