‘He is obsessed with her’: Big Brother’s Ryan Ruckledge determined to ‘be the male Josie Cunningham’
Blackpool lad will do ANYTHING for attention... just like boob-job scrounger Josie
FAME hungry Ryan Ruckledge is ‘obsessed’ with boob-job scrounger Josie Cunningham – and pals of the Big Brother star say he’s determined to become the most loathed man in Britain so he can emulate her fame.
Ryan, 24, entered the Big Brother house on Monday night and sources close to him think he will go out of his way to carve himself the role of series villain.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun online, they revealed that he believes that if he can get the nation to hate him, he will be one step closer to his goal.
The friend said: “He is desperate to become the male Josie Cunningham.
“He’s really jealous of her fame and will do anything to become a household name, he won’t care if it’s through being hated.”
In 2014 Ryan dressed up as a ‘dead Josie Cunningham’ as a Halloween prank.
He slathered himself in fake tan, and wore a long brown wig, adding some home-made NHS tape to wear as an improvised bra.
But this wasn’t a tribute that came from adoration – it stemmed from hate.
Ryan was an avid critic of the 24-year-old mum-of-three, who is currently pregnant with her fourth child.
The source said: “He used to slag Josie off all the time on social media, but quickly realised it could go against him.”
Ryan would regularly tweet slurs and insults about Josie, who found fame after using her NHS-funded breast implants to boost her work as a vice girl.
Last January Ryan again tweeted the picture of himself dressed up as the Wakefield lass – which he bizarrely tried to offer up as some sort of apology.
He wrote: “After hatin #JosieCunningham and dressing as her for Halloween my opinion may be changin, feel tight! @JosieCOnline.”
A few weeks later, he suggested they spend some time together.
He tweeted: “maybe me and @JosieCOnline should go on a date! I’m gay tho.”
But it was too little too late, and despite begging Josie’s manager Rob Cooper to take him on as a client, his previous venom came back to bite him.
The source added: “Ryan has been contacting Josie’s manager constantly over the past eighteen months trying to get on his books, but Rob isn’t having any of it.
“He really shot himself in the foot slagging her off and goading her.
“Rob had noticed Ryan’s tweets about his client, and was horrified when dressed up as her for Halloween so refused to help him.”
Josie’s manager confirmed Ryan had been in touch.
He told The Sun: “I have spoken to Ryan regularly over the past year, but it wouldn’t be fair to disclose the conversations we’ve had.”
Our insider says that although he’s really a “big softy” who will probably have plenty of tearful visits to the Diary Room, Ryan’s got a game plan.
They said: “Ryan will definitely intentionally rub people up the wrong way, he’ll cause a lot of trouble and then leave the house to fall out.”
On his first night in the Elstree compound, where he is currently holed up with ‘The Others’ – in basic terms the B-team of this year’s fame-hungry contestants – he got so drunk he projectile vomited all over the astroturf in the garden.
Viewers – who branded him a “skank” and “vile” – were spared the graphic scenes, but were treated to 30 seconds of wretching and splash-back as a belly-full of free booze got the better of him.
But it wouldn’t have been much of a push for him to get people’s backs up – he’s been doing it ever since he first appeared on screens in 2013.
The Blackpool lad’s first brush with fame was when he was auditioned for The X Factor in 2013 with his best pal Liddia.
He returned and got through to bootcamp in 2015, but was booted off the show after auditioning drunk and jumping in to a swimming pool fully clothed.
His antics saw him branded a “horror of a human” by head judge Simon Cowell.
Since then he has appeared on This Morning and Judge Geordie for discussions relating to his addiction to tanning injections.
