Coleen Rooney ‘to fight back against Rebekah Vardy’s bid to rush court dispute’
COLEEN Rooney has vowed to fight back against Rebekah Vardy’s bid to rush their dispute into court and take her time building her case against her WAG rival.
And she has told pals she believes Becky, 38, is trying to speed up proceedings as she is worried about what Coleen’s lawyers will find.

The Sun told yesterday how Becky had filed fresh legal papers calling for an interim hearing in a bid to force Coleen, 34 to “put up or shut up”.
But last night a source close to Coleen said: “Coleen remains confident that she has an extremely strong case. She almost laughed when she saw the story about Becky’s latest move, which has not worried her at all.
“Coleen will be setting out her defence in the next few weeks. She is very happy with her legal team, who have been working around the clock on this.
“Her lawyers specialise in investigative law and they are going through every form of communication between the two and between Becky and others since before Coleen started planting Instagram stories. So she is happy for her team to take their time to do this and not be rushed into anything by Becky.”

The former WAG pals have been at loggerheads since last October when Coleen sensationally revealed online she had planted stories on Instagram and then restricted access.

Their sensational case, in which mum of five Becky is seeking £200,000 damages for libel, is set to be heard in the High Court this year. Coleen’s legal team have yet to file papers outlining her defence but Becky’s team have now lodged two sets of papers.
The first revealed she had been trolled online, had to pull her daughter out of school and suffered anxiety attacks.
She almost laughed when she saw the story about Becky’s latest move, which has not worried her at all.

But our source added: “Coleen thinks Becky is making out like she is being ballsy, while in fact she is worried about the defence. Coleen remains supremely confident about winning this case – and proving her claims were true – and has husband Wayne’s full support in what she is doing.”
Coleen – Mum of four boys with ex-Man Utd ace Wayne – and Leicester ace Jamie Vardy’s wife Becky are former pals who cheered on their husbands together when they played for England.
Becky has always denied being the source of the three stories Coleen said came from her account.

They appeared in the Sun and the Sun on Sunday after being first checked with Coleen’s reps.
Becky, who was pregnant when the row erupted, has revealed other people had access to her Instagram account.
A source said her latest legal move was a “shot across the bows” of Coleen and a bid to show whether she can defend the case.
Ms Vardy's lawyers have asked us to make clear that the court documents referred to in this above article, filed on 27 August 2020, had already been agreed by both parties.
Ms Vardy and Ms Rooney had agreed in that document that there should be a meaning hearing to determine what the post published by Ms Rooney means.
Both sides had also already agreed that the time for serving any Defence may be extended until after this hearing.
