Simon Cowell’s son Eric, 6, goes surfing with mum Lauren Silverman as his dad recovers at home

SIMON Cowell’s six-year-old son Eric tried his hand at surfing and boogie boarding as his mum treated him to a day at the beach.

The pair were in high spirits as they were spotted out and about in Malibu while 60-year-old Simon continued to recover from his recent back injury at home.

Lauren, 43, looked sensational in a sun hat and oversized shades, wearing a black off-the shoulder romper that complimented her enviable figure.

Eric enjoyed frolicking in the sea as he asked his mum for help with the board, with the group said to have stayed at the coast for two hours before heading home.

Lauren has continued to treat the little boy to fun outings following dad Simon’s horror accident, which saw him rushed to hospital earlier this month.

The mogul broke multiple bones in his back after falling off his electric bike at home when Eric was present.

Simon is lucky to not have been left paralysed by the incident, with his injuries missing his spinal cord by a centimetre.

He spent six hours in surgery where doctors inserted a metal rod in his spine, with Simon making light of the accident on social media as he admitted to fans he hadn’t read the bike’s manual before hopping on.

The star wrote: “Some good advice…

“If you buy an electric trail bike, read the manual before you ride it for the first time.
