Princess Diana and Queen Mum shared love of Aussie soap Neighbours

Ramsay Street supervillain Paul Robinson claims that the departed royals never missed an episode

HOT on the heels of the news that The Queen is the number one fan of ukulele king GEORGE FORMBY, I have discovered that two now departed Royals – the QUEEN MUM and PRINCESS DIANA – shared a love of Aussie soap Neighbours.

According to STEFAN DENNIS, who plays villainous Paul Robinson in the long-running series, the pair would make sure they never missed an episode.

Stefan, whose character has been sent to prison in a bombshell storyline twist, said: “I was told by a very reliable source that I was Princess Diana’s favourite character.

“The Queen Mum was equally big a fan of Neighbours – my understanding is that whenever they were away doing engagements and they missed episodes, they used to get the BBC to send them across so they could catch up.

“And sometimes they were sent them early or rearranged events for it. I never got invited out for a drinkie with them though.”

I thought it was normally students sitting around in their pants eating beans who watched Neighbours.

I imagine Princess Diana would probably have viewed it with slightly more style.
