Wreckless! Mum-of-two Rachel Stevens puts her children at risk as she’s caught talking on her mobile phone while driving

Singer Rachel Stevens could be in hot water after she got behind the wheel of her car and appeared to use her iPhone while her daughter was in the car.

The television celebrity, who is currently a judge on the Irish version The Voice, appeared to hold her phone to her mouth as she drove with her young daughter in the car.

According to witnesses, brunette Rachel, had been out running errands with her five-year-old daughter Amelie on a busy main road in London.

She later got into the car with her daughter and drove up the high street and allegedly became distracted by her phone.

A source said: "Rachel was seen getting into her car and driving up the high street she could be seen talking on her iPhone.

"Turning a corner and pulling out on the busy high street she could be seen talking on her iPhone as she pulled out.

"She had the phone on loudspeaker and help up to her mouth."

In the UK it is an offence to use a hand–held phone or similar device, when driving.

The majority of offenders found guilty are given three penalty points and a £60 Fixed Penalty Notice.

The 38-year-old, who is married to Alex Bourne, has another daughter Minnie Blossom who was born in 2014.

Last September she sparked a fury online after it was alleged she had left her children unattended in her parked car.

The former Strictly Come Dancing runner up is alleged to have parked up before walking to the shops leaving her infant children in the vehicle.

According to reports Rachel left the children in the car for 10 minutes before returning.
When the news broke the internet went into meltdown with many criticising her for the decision and some even alleging she was a bad mother.

However many others came to her defence including 'Supernanny' Jo Frost.

She wrote on her twitter: "I'm sure @MsRachelStevens is now aware that her parenting choice was not a smart one but truly so fed up with celebs being publicly shamed."

In January, Rachel hit back at critics who slammed her for her decision to leave her daughters in the car.

She said: 'Parenting is always going to split judgement and you never have all the answers. I would never do anything to intentionally harm my girls; they are my life.

'Whatever you do as a parent, you will be judged by other people. You can only do your best.'
