Katie Price gets £10k pink custom wheelchair with 6,000 Swarovski Crystals as she recovers from ‘agonising’ foot op
KATIE Price is determined to travel in style following "agonising" surgery on her two broken feet - and a Swarovski crystal-studded wheelchair should do the trick.
The mum of five is currently facing six months of recovery in plaster casts following her horror injury, which happened when she jumped over a wall at a theme park in Turkey.
After shattering both her feet, and being patched up in a six-hour operation, Katie, 42, needs to keep her weight off her feet in order to recover.
Thankfully she's determined not to lose her Pricey sass along the way, with the Sun Online exclusively revealing she's using the eye-catchingly lavish chair, accessorised by the to get around.
A source was first to tell us of the chair, and stated “It took 70 hours labour to make and has 6,000 Crystals applied by hand - it's easily worth £10k.”
Katie later spoke exclusively to The Sun Online and said: “Thanks to the team at BiGDUG for creating this bespoke, one off wheelchair, just for me!
"Just so you know, they sell all sorts of handy things you thought you never needed from shelving to storage and workplace stuff, including wheelchairs!”
The former glamour model may well set a wheelchair trend with her customised model, which was delivered to her home in Surrey today.
It features her glittering, diamond studded initials on the back as well as another 'K' emblazoned panel on the seat.
The wheels are set to dazzle when they catch the sunlight courtesy of the host of hand-applied gems on the rim.
Meanwhile, all metal work has been painted neon pink.
Katie appeared overjoyed as she wheeled out of her home to greet the BigDug staff and be presented with her new form of transport.
On Monday, she vowed to sell her battered Barbie car, in a similar pink shade, with a portion of proceeds going to charity.
Polly Maclennan from BiGDUG added: “We absolutely love being able to help people, and Katie has been through something really traumatic.
