Matt Willis plans to defy wife Emma and sign up to Strictly after she banned him from ‘grinding on other women’
MATT Willis is keen to appear on Strictly Come Dancing despite his wife Emma Willis saying she would never let him.
Matt, 37, would love the chance to show off his dance moves on the BBC One show and even lift the glitterball trophy, but Emma may not be so happy about it.
The pop star has been thinking about his future and which shows he may like to appear on and it seems Strictly could be top of the list.
"They’ll be some sort of dancing show in my future, I am sure. Not this year, but it’s a given isn’t it? At some point," he said, according to The Mirror.
However, back in 2016 Emma admitted she wouldn't like her hubby to star on the popular series.
"I’m a jealous person. If my husband is around a younger, good-looking woman, I’m like, 'Stop looking at them', the 44-year-old presenter said.
"Matt could do Strictly, because he’s an amazing dancer. Every now and then he will bust out a pirouette in the middle of the living room and our daughter will be like, 'Wow, Daddy!'
"But I don’t want him grinding against hot women," the mum-of-three added.
Matt's Strictly dreams come after Emma admitted she wants a panic room installed for when her husband is away.
"I am Mrs Health and Safety – I would rather be safe than sorry," she told the When NoOne's Watching podcast.
"I think I have become immensely paranoid about safety as I’ve got older and had kids.
"I think I’m a bit of a control freak, so there’s part of me that does enjoy it because I can go to bed knowing that my ticklist is completed. But part of me would love not to come downstairs five times to check when I’ve already put the alarm on.

"I would love a panic room. We don’t have room for one and I imagine they are mega bucks, but I would love one."
Emma and Matt married in July 2008 and have three children together; Isabelle, 11, eight-year-old Ace and four-year-old Trixie.
