ROMAN Kemp, Scarlett Moffatt and Jessica Wright lead the lineup of stars on ITV's new Celebrity Karaoke Club.

The show pits celebrities against each other as they perform solo or in group battles in order to win the competition.

However, they aren't impressing a panel - rather they have to impress each other, as each contestant is the judge.

After every episode, a celebrity will be sent home and a new one will take their place.

Then when the singing stops, the celebrities go backstage to drink cocktails and gossip - and get their claws out.

Among the celebrities are Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt, radio and I'm A Celebrity star Roman Kemp and Towie's Jessica Wright.

There's also host Joel Dommett, X Factor's Diana Vickers - and international drag star Courtney Act, as well as the UK's own Baga Chipz.

The Sun revealed back in June that ITV was looking for a replacement for The X Factor, which isn't airing this year.

A source said: “ITV has always done singing shows and done them well, and with no X Factor on this year they are looking at new formats to fill the gap.

“They’ve started casting for Celebrity Karaoke Club but you’d need to be a brave star to have a go.

“Or have a belting singing voice that you’ve been hiding all these years. The twist here is not having a Simon Cowell judging you, but each other.

“So just like on a night out, if you think someone has had too much to drink and probably should step away from the mic, you can get rid of them.”

Charlotte Crosby was set to be among the celebrities performing - but was forced to pull out of the show following her recent trip to Ibiza.

While Charlotte was sunning herself on the White Isle, the UK Government announced that those returning from Spain would need to isolate for 14 days.

Insiders say the new quarantine policy has unexpectedly caught her out as she was supposed to be taking part in the ITV2 singing show.

A source told The Sun Online: "Charlotte was booked to appear on Celebrity Karaoke Club, the new ITV2 show.

"It starts filming this week - but now she's having to quarantine for two weeks when she gets home, she's had to postpone it."

Celebrity Karaoke Club will air on ITV2 this autumn.
