KATIE Price is "terrified" after a no-frills doctors' warning stated she could lose her legs if her operation wounds become infected, The Sun Online can exclusively reveal.
The former glamour model broke both her feet while jumping off a wall in a theme park in Turkey and was promptly told she will need urgent "major surgery."
Katie, 42, stuck out the remainder of the trip with new man Carl Woods and children Princess and Junior Andre for the sake of their happiness, being wheeled around in a chair before opting for a mobility scooter.
The Sun Online exclusively told this week how she will have an operation on both feet because her injuries are "severe" - and this has come with a blunt medical warning attached.
A source exclusively today told The Sun Online: “Katie's doctors have warned her she must take her recovery seriously and it's left her terrified.
"She's prone to getting infections after operations, and her surgeon says she could lose a leg if her feet get infected.
"She'll have to be so, so careful - she'll have medical professionals on call 24/7 - and change the dressings regularly.
"She's got a long road ahead of her.”
Katie is currently under the care of the Fortius clinical team at Chelsea and Westminster.
The businesswoman has already been briefed her recovery could be up to six months, if all goes to plan with the procedure.

Yet Katie, famed for her love of cosmetic surgery, hasn't been the luckiest when it comes to swerving infection.
Her corrective breast surgery last June left a dent in her boobs while face surgery in May 2019 became infected and oozed pus.
Another horror treatment table incident saw the star afraid she would lose her ears as her face lift infection took hold.
Speaking of the impending surgeries, her rep was first to tell us Katie was all too aware these risks could not be repeated, and said: “As with all surgical procedures Katie's operation comes with a certain degree of risk, Katie has been fully informed by her surgical team.”
