Furious Maura Higgins rages that pics of ex Curtis Pritchard snogging dancer have ‘humiliated’ her
FURIOUS Maura Higgins has raged that the new photos of her ex Curtis Pritchard snogging a dancer have "humiliated" her.
The 29-year-old Love Island star is said to be hurt after the hunk was spotted being intimate with the girl he was rumoured to have cheated on her with.
There was previously speculation about Curtis' relationship with Amber Pierson, and now Irish Maura is furious that she didn't "follow her gut".
A source told us: “Maura feels humiliated, as she had suspicions of Curtis cheating and believes now she should have trusted her gut feeling at the time. She feels she stayed in the relationship too long and should have cut ties when she started to have doubts.
“Curtis is adamant his relationship with Maura ended long before his romance started with Amber.
“But he’s not stupid and can see how it looks.
“Maura is in a really great place right now, though. She’s got really good mates around her and is focusing on herself, on her career and the many exciting projects she has coming up.”
The Love Islander took to social media to vent her anguish.
Maura tweeted, “The truth always comes out in the end” then posted on Instagram: “Always trust your first gut instincts. If you genuinely feel in your heart and soul that something is wrong, it usually is.”
She met professional dancer Curtis in last summer's series of Love Island, and they were together for eight months before splitting in March of this year.
It was said at the time that Curtis and Amber had started their relationship before he'd broken up with Maura - but Curtis insisted that they were just friends.
Yesterday, The Sun Online exclusively obtained photos of Curtis and Amber packing on the PDA as they cuddled up and shared a smooch in a park.
An insider told us: "It’s game over for Curtis and Amber pretending they are just pals. Their ‘friends’ line fooled no one."
Just hours after the new photos went public, Maura tweeted: "The truth always comes out in the end."
The new couple enjoyed a double date with Curtis' brother AJ and his girlfriend, with the group also taking a trip to Cornwall last week.
Amber was only spotted after eagle-eyed fans noticed her in a post of them walking together, shared by best pal Abbie.

The Sun Online previously reported how Maura confronted him over claims that he had cheated before their split.
The alarm was raised when Maura was tagged in an anonymous tweet that said Curtis had been "hugging and kissing" a blonde from his tour with AJ.

Amber also denied the rumours back in March, insisting on Instagram that Curtis was just a friend.
She wrote: "We are simply friends and dancer partners! There are 13 dancers going on tour, and I am one of them."
