EastEnders spoilers: Richard Blackwood warns Vincent Hubbard should be ‘scared’ of Claudette
As co-star Ellen Thomas confirms her character plans ‘revenge’
SOAP star Richard Blackwood has revealed that his character Vincent Hubbard will have to keep his wits about him from now on, especially when it comes to his murderous mum Claudette.
He is still reeling from the revelation that she killed his dad and for years lied that Eric Mitchell was the one responsible.
After his attempt to then bump her off failed, she has remained a shadowy presence in his life.
Lamenting over the gangster’s current situation, he told The Sun Online: “Without giving too much away, he has choices to make.
“Vincent never has a clear run. All he wants to do is have a good family, be a provider, run the Albert and have a peaceful, non-drama life and it can’t go that way.”
The 44-year-old continued: “He’s wrestling a lot of darkness himself, but he gets tested and you will see he gets tested.”
As for the case of Claudette, he explains: “You have got to remember Claudette killed his dad, pushed him over a balcony, buried him and then kept it a secret for all of Vincent’s life.
“Then when she told him, she had no remorse – he should be scared.”
Agreeing with him is actress Ellen Thomas, 52, who plays his sinister on-screen ma.
She teased: “Revenge is best served cold.”

Meanwhile, Vincent also has to contend with a massive ask when his foster sister Donna Yates sounds him out about being a sperm donor for her.
Lisa Hammond who plays Donna explained: “Vincent is shocked. He knew Donna wanted a child and was seriously looking into making it happen.
“The big surprise, however, is that she's asking him to help her.
"He certainly isn't anticipating it!"
The 32-year-old, who joined the BBC One soap two years ago, elaborated: "Donna looks around at the men in her life and sees how Vincent is with Pearl.
"She loves the way he is with his daughter, and regardless of some of the other things he might get up to, Donna believes he would always be there for her, no matter what.”
However while Vincent does eventually come around to the idea, the same can’t be said for his wife Kim (Tameka Empson).
Lisa added to Inside Soap magazine: “Kim loses it! She thinks it's a ridiculous suggestion, and after considering all the logistics involved, she realises it would mean she'd be forced into some kind of relationship with Donna.
"And they've never been best of friends."
