Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson reveals cruel message from ex ‘slut-shaming’ her for selling used knickers for £200
MEGAN Barton-Hanson has revealed a cruel ex "slut-shamed" her for working as a stripper and selling her used knickers for £200.
The Love Island star, 26, posted part of a message from an upset ex on her Instagram story and urged her followers not to stand for similar abuse.
The mystery person's message read: "Then you was going on dates with lads for a job, selling your knickers for £200 and liking."
Explaining how it would have crushed her old self, she wrote: "So this is part of a paragraph someone I was dating used against me in the past.
"Slut shaming me and blaming partly why we ended one me working in the sex industry. At 20 this would have killed me. Thinking that someone I loved judged me like this. But the truth is it says more about them.
"Don't ever let anyone belittle you for using your femininity to get that dollar. especially when they met you knowing your line of work."
And on reflection Megan was impressed with her own entrepreneurial skill at making such a lot of cash.
She added: "My god if you don't rate someone for being able to sell their £5 panties for £200 I don't want you in my life."
Last month Megan called on women to put their orgasms before their bloke's - as she blasts society for "slut-shaming" her.
She spoke to Fabulous for National Orgasm Day - after research revealed 70 per cent of women have faked it in the past.
In an exclusive interview, she said: "I think it’s so sad that so many women are faking orgasms. It’s a part of your body that’s purely there for pleasure.
"I think women are scared to own the fact they like sex, and that they deserve to have pleasure during sex.
"As women there’s this focus on pleasuring the man first and it needs to be a team thing to enjoy sex. It’s not just for the man, we’ve got to put ourselves first."
Ann Summers previously revealed the average woman misses out on 1,734 orgasms in her lifetime, compared to men, and the brand has pledged to close this 'orgasm gap'.
Unlike the majority, Megan says she's never faked an orgasm - admitting she is "too stubborn" to pretend.
In March, Megan announced she had rejoined Only Fans - charging subscribers £19 a month to view her content.
The website is popular with social media stars sharing X-rated content that they can't get away with on other platforms such as Instagram - but Megan insists it isn't all about nudes.
Although she received daily abuse over the decision at first, Megan said: "I'm sure if I went out of my way to look for everyone's opinions, I would find lots of negative feedback.
"But I’m so happy I got on there and didn’t worry about what people were saying and if I was going to be judged - because it’s an amazing platform for women to use.
"Pretty much all my content is similar to my Instagram. It's all bikini and underwear pics, then the odd glamour shot from when I used to do that.
"There is the occasional topless pic, but I don’t think it’s as raunchy as people are expecting."
It's thought Megan has raked in thousands from the site, admitting she's had as many as 2,000 subscribers at one time - which could total £38,000 for a month of fees.
She said: "I had 2,000 followers at one point, when I first joined.
"I think that was everyone being like ‘oh my God, what’s she going to put? Is she going back to the webcam stuff?’
"But it’s really pretty tame, it’s no different to what Page 3 used to be."
Megan previously vowed to never go back to glamour modelling - so why the change of heart?
She said: "When I first came out of the Villa, you get taken into this office with a guy from ITV and you’re told all the stories that have come out (about you).
"At the time that was super overwhelming, I was worried what my family were going to think and all their friends.
"It was a big shock to see how negatively people had reacted to me working in the sex industry, doing webcam work, being a stripper and doing glamour modelling.

"So at the time I was freaked out and said ‘oh God no, I’m never going to do that, that’s the old me’.
"But in hindsight, I talk all the time about women owning their bodies, and in a society where you’re either made out to be frigid or getting slut shamed, why should I not take ownership of my body?

"That’s what I’ve really done with Only Fans, I’ve regained control. I won't let people belittle me for being in the sex industry and glamour modelling world, I’ve taken it into my own hands and now have creative control.
"It's a great excuse for me to get glammed up and take great pictures - something to look back at when I’m 40."
