Chris Hughes ‘gutted’ over pics of Sean Sagar’s hand on Jesy Nelson’s ‘bare skin’
AFTER their shock split earlier this year, we can reveal that Love Island star Chris Hughes has told pals he’s gutted that Jesy Nelson appears to have moved on so quickly.
It comes after Chris dated the Little Mix songstress for a year and a half, even describing her as his “soulmate”.
Jesy has since been snapped out and about with Our Girl hunk Sean Sagar, and we revealed last month that he had been spending time during lockdown at her Essex home.
A source said: “Chris was really in love with Jesy and wanted it to work.
“He thought they were going to be together for ever, so seeing pictures of her with Sean’s arms on her bare skin, looking warm and relaxed, was a hard pill to swallow. He’s gutted.
“He’s aware that Sean and Jesy became more friendly and started hanging out soon after they split.
“Breakups are hard enough so with lockdown to deal with as well, it has been doubly tough for him.
“Fortunately, he’s got good friends and family around to cheer him up.”
Chris has treated himself to a trip away to Ibiza with his manager and has spent hours chatting to close friend and castmate Kem Cetinay.
Speaking this week, Chris told Vicky Pattison’s The Secret To . . . podcast: “Everyone says time is a healer, and you don’t believe it in the moment. I don’t think I’d ever felt heartbroken before. I’ve had mates tell me that in time it’ll be all right and you have to accept that.
“My manager was very good — a little shoulder to cry on.
“People who know you can see it in your face, even if I look fine. Everyone has been saying, ‘You’re back to yourself’ but rushing it never works.
“Everyone takes time to do things differently. We can’t force ourselves.
“I feel useless with women at the minute. With this whole lockdown, I feel like I’ve been living through the Stone Ages.
“This lockdown feels like it’s gone on for so long, I’ll have to blow away the cobwebs.
“I’ve always been a relationship man. A good personality makes a woman ten times better looking.”
A spokesman for Little Mix, whose hits include Touch, said: “Jesy has adamantly denied that she is dating Sean Sagar and states that they are just friends.”
We’re sure blue-eyed Chris won’t be single for long . . .

'Bizarre' Baftas
THE winners of Friday night’s TV Baftas virtual awards didn’t let lockdown spoil their fun.
Sian Clifford, who scooped a gong for her turn in Fleabag, partied with co-star and show creator Phoebe-Waller Bridge in her garden until 5am.
Screen veteran Glenda Jackson celebrated her Leading Actress win with a glass of wine and a cigarette but called the Zoom-based ceremony “bizarre”.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale actress Zoe Henry appeared flummoxed to be picking up the award for best soap, being caught on camera in her nightwear.
Luckily, I had a valve that cut off if it was going to be too much in my body. It said, “No, don’t go over or you won’t make it”

Dani's second turn as Tracy
DANI Harmer is returning to the CBBC role that made her famous, in My Mum Tracy Beaker.
Now execs are casting for a youngster to play her 12-year-old daughter Jess.
The actress and 2012 Strictly contestant told us: “I can’t wait to return again to the role of Tracy.
“I’m a fan myself and want to know what happens next and where this journey takes her. Being a mother, I know how much it changes you.
“So I’m looking forward to seeing how it has changed Tracy but still keeping her the same feisty, strong female lead that people know and love.”
The series will be on BBC iPlayer early next year.
Emily's taking it Joe
EMILY Atack isn’t short of admirers . . . and we can reveal the stunning actress has decided to give one of her suitors a chance.
The star is dating Missguided social media exec Joe Caro, seen here with Emily on a low-key walk this week, after meeting through mutual friends.
A source said: “It’s early days between the pair but Emily loves how laid-back Cornishman Joe is.
“They share the same sense of humour and are both chilled out. She’s super-busy with her career at the moment so is more than happy to take it slowly.”
Inbetweeners star Emily split from film producer Rob Jowers last September. But she had plenty to keep her occupied with the launch of her own range with fashion retailer In The Style.
Maybe Joe will give her his staff discount for Missguided.

Bond bosses ban Ben
THERE’S only room for one leading man when it comes to the James Bond films.
We hear bosses for the upcoming premiere of No Time To Die want Bond Girl Ana De Armas to leave boyfriend Ben Affleck at home so all the focus is on 007 star Daniel Craig. An LA source said: “This film premiere has been a long time coming and franchise bosses want the spotlight to be on the stars of the film.
