‘He pulls wherever he goes’ – Love Island’s Tom Powell on pal Gaz Beadle
Tom was once Gaz's bodyguard and has seen him get up to plenty of mischief
GAZ Beadle’s former bodyguard Tom Powell has opened up about his pal, saying he pulls on every night out.
Tom, 24, is starring on the new season of Love Island and has learned a lot from his pal.
He told Star magazine: “[Gaz] is a right laugh. I really get on with him, but he doesn’t sleep.
“We’d get in steaming at 4am after a night out and he’d want to get up at 9am. He’s crazy.”
While Gaz doesn’t have the best reputation, Tom says he didn’t stray when he was in a relationship.
He said: “He pulls wherever he goes. It’s not hard for him. But when he was with Lillie Lexie Gregg he was so loyal – he was rejecting girls left, right and centre. I was impressed.”
Speaking to , Tom said Gaz was constantly surrounded by fans.
He said: “Everyone loves him – I’ve never know anyone hate him ever. Women love him because they want to be with him (I’m talking 19/20 year olds) and men want to be him. Everyone loves him. I didn’t meet once person who didn’t like him honest to god.”
Meanwhile, Tom is hoping to find himself a girl on Love Island and has a competitive streak when it comes to fighting over girls.
He said: “I want to get married and have kids. I’m a big softie, but people think I’m an arsehole because of how I look.
“I’m the most competitive person in the world. I’m such a sore loser. If I lost a girl to a guy I’d be livid – and get my own back.”
Tom also revealed he’s undecided about whether or not he’ll have sex on TV.
He said: “I know my mum’s going to be watching. She says she won’t but she will… I’m not saying no, I’m not saying yes. I might forget the cameras are there. As long as it’s tasteful…”
However, Tom says he’ll be up to mischief and could cause a few rows throughout the season.
He said: “I’m a shit-stirrer when I get bored. I’ll take people’s things and hide them.”
Elsewhere, Tom’s nan is worried about him because she think he’s heading off on adventure reality show, The Island.
He said: “My nan seems to think I’m going on bloody Bear Grylls! Honest to god! I’m like nan, I’m safe, I promise you, I’m not going to be in any danger.
“She keeps on going, ‘Look who’s on the telly: Bear Grylls!’ So she doesn’t really know what’s going on but my granddad knows the score. He wants to be out there with me. He’s crazy!”
