Hollyoaks stars Emmett J Scanlan and Claire Cooper name their baby Ocean-Torin Scanlan
FORMER Hollyoaks star Emmett J Scanlan and Claire Cooper have unveiled the name of their baby boy, Ocean-Torin Scanlan.
Emmett, 41, announced the name on Instagram alongside a black and white photo of his newborn son.
He captioned the post: "Hey world, meet my world. Our world. Meet Ocean-Torin Scanlan..."
Celebrities and co-stars lined up to wish the new parents well.
Irish actor Eoin Macken wrote: "He already looks suspiciously handsome and chill."
Emmett's Butterfly co-star Anna Friel wrote: "Soooooo beautiful 💋❤️⭐️💕
The proud dad took to Twitter on the weekend to announce his wife Claire, 39, had given birth to a baby boy.
The Irish actor, who played Brendan Brady on Hollyoaks, wrote: "It's a boy."
The couple welcomed their first son together last week with Claire admitting her labour was "complicated".
She wrote on a photo of her cradling her newborn: "After 2 trips to the hospital, 40 hrs of labour & an emergency C section our little boy arrived ❤️
"So grateful to the entire team who supported us in all our choices at #arroweparkhospital before, during & after - it certainly got complicated in moments but then he’s a wee Scanlan how are we surprised?!"
The couple also thanked their fans and family for their well wishes after Ocean's birth.
Claire wrote on her Insta stories: "It's been so lifting to read & we are incredibly grateful to each of you who shared our joy.
"Our little man is a little hero."
Claire played Jacqui McQueen on the soap until 2013 and married Emmett in 2015.
He is already dad to a daughter named Kayla from a previous relationship.
Claire announced she was expecting a baby in May and told fans: "Feeling it all & so happy to share.
"I’ve been growing into a mama oh so quietly & discreetly, tip toeing a tightrope with the ebs & flows of pregnancy.
"Finding the seclusion exactly what I/we needed to captain the last seven months together, so much joy, so many belly laughs, so much belly, so much morning sickness & moments of fear.
