Who is Jamie Tate’s dad in Emmerdale?
Emmerdale fans know that Jamie was born in the Dales back in 1995 in the midst of Kim’s affair with Dave.
When Frank discovered the affair, he started to question whether Jamie was his biological son but carried out a DNA test proving he was the father.
Frank then bribed Kim into putting his name on Jamie’s birth certificate, leaving Kim suspicious as to whether he’d meddled with the test.
And fans are convinced that Jamie’s dad will turn out to be Dave in a shock plot twist after noticing similarities between the two men.
One fan tweeted: “After watching these classic Emmerdale’s, I’m pretty sure the DNA test lied all those years ago and Jamie’s real dad is Dave Glover as they are both wet lettuce’s! #Classicemmerdale.”
Another added:” Judging by the way Jamie behaves in modern Emmerdale he’s definitely Dave’s.”
A third tweeted: “I watched an old episode of emmerdale and Kim is pregnant with Dave Glovers baby so is Jamie not a Tate? And if so will David be coming back? Or have I got it totally wrong??!!”
In May 2020, Claire revealed that she believes her character’s ex Dave could be her son Jamie’s dad.
She said: “I honestly believe that he was. I think she still believes that it was possibly Dave’s baby.
“Frank went to get a test done but he had to bribe them so there’s still that grey area although Jamie thinks Frank’s his father and Kim’s let that ride.
“I think in her heart of heart she still thinks there’s a possibility it could be his. He was definitely the love of her life up until Graham.”
