Lisa Marie Presley has moved house as she’s ‘too distressed to return to the home where her son Benjamin shot himself’
LISA Marie Presley is too distressed to return to the house where her son Benjamin shot himself and has found a new family home, The Sun can reveal.
Elvis's , whose son, 27, took his own life on July 12, had relocated to a hotel with the rest of her family due to a mold problem in part of their $1.8million property in Calabasas, and she now has no plans to return.
As reported, Benjamin went back to the house where they were , before spending hours alone and shooting himself in a bathroom.
He was discovered by Pinto early Sunday morning and emergency services were called - after which heartbroken Lisa Marie had to return to meet with police at the scene.
A close source told The Sun: "They were already dealing with the mold problem and now Lisa doesn't want to return, she is too distressed and doesn't ever want to relive that morning.
"She had been looking for a rental while staying at the hotel, going back and forth to the house only to sort things out, and she's now found somewhere.
"It's the right place for the family to hole up for a while and grieve privately as they navigate this awful time in their lives."
They have been living at the stunning five bed, four bath property since 2017, and although it was sold last year, The Sun understands they were renting again from the new owner.
According to a real estate listing, the two story house boasts mountain views, and features an outdoor pool and landscaped yard.
"Lisa has had a lot of guests coming and going at the new house, and there are more than a dozen people staying with her at the moment, including family, friends, assistants and nannies," the source added.
"She's definitely not alone dealing with this tragedy and has a lot of help and support as they plan Ben's funeral and celebrate his short life.
"This is not something Lisa ever imagined she would go through, losing a child has shattered her, but she's trying to stay as strong as possible for her girls."
When approached by The Sun, a rep for Lisa declined to comment on her living situation.
The 52-year-old singer also has daughter , 31, with first husband Danny, and twin daughters Finley and Harper, 11, with ex Michael Lockwood, with the pair still locked in a nasty custody battle.
The Sun can also reveal Ben's last post on Instagram was a tribute to Lisa on Mother's Day on May 10, showing him as a blond-haired little boy sleeping on a beach with Lisa wrapping her arms around him.
They are pictured snuggled on white towels on the sand in the throw back from a trip to Big Island, Hawaii, with Ben adding the now poignant caption: "Thank you for everything," along with a blue heart emoji.
Lisa's rep, Roger Widynowski, previously revealed she is "beyond devastated" by the death of her only son.
"She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley," Widynowski said. "She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."
Ben's funeral could reunite mom Lisa and grandmother, Priscilla Presley, whose relationship is said to have been "strained" in recent years.
Priscilla, 75, has also paid tribute to her grandson as she mourns his death, writing on her Facebook wall: "These are some of the darkest days of my family's life. The shock of losing Ben has been devastating.
"Trying to put all the pieces together of all the possible whys has penetrated my soul. Each day I wake up I pray it will get better. Then, I think of my daughter and the pain she is going through as she was a doting mother."
