Katie Price slammed by PETA for ‘irresponsible attitude to animals’ after third dog dies in tragic accident
ANIMAL rights group PETA says Katie Price should be stopped from owning any more pets after her third dog died in an accident.
Rolo, the French Bulldog pup she bought for daughter Princess' 13th birthday last month, died suddenly this week.
But now PETA said the former glamour model should not be allowed to own any more pets.
"For dogs' sake, Katie must not be allowed to acquire any more animals," PETA's director Elisa Allen said in a statement.
"At least three dogs and one horse have died on her watch in the last few years alone – and she's also tried to sell off two cats on Instagram as though they were shoes she no longer wore.
"Her irresponsible attitude is costing wonderful animals their lives, so PETA urges her – and anyone else unable to provide animals with appropriate care – to fill their homes with cuddly toys instead."
Rolo's tragic accident happened five months after another of the family's dogs, Alsatian Sparkle, was killed running into a busy road.
Another dog, Queenie, died in tragic circumstances in 2018, when she was struck by a delivery diver.
In 2017, one of her horses escaped her West Sussex property and was killed when a car hit it on the A24.
Katie took to social media to beg trolls to stop hounding her over Rolo's death.
She has admitted the family has been left "devastated" over the pup's death as she defended the breeder, JRC BULLIES, who they purchased the dog from.
The 42-year-old also pleaded with people to stop trolling them and "pointing fingers' as she explained Rolo's passing was a tragic accident.
She penned: "Everyone the tragic death of my daughters puppy Rolo is absolutely nothing to do with the breeders and anybody blaming them should be ashamed of themselves.
"The breeders are absolutely amazing look after the all the dogs and puppy’s at their home.
"It's amazing clean and professional from day one and a absolutely lovely family so stop trolling them as you are the kind of protons who need to be on the register for trolling when Harveys law is in place!
"It’s nobody’s fault and something that happened tragically we are all devastated about so instead of pointing fingers think of how we are all feeling so respect us all".
Katie's daughter Princess revealed that the pup had died after she posted a pic of them on Instagram.
She wrote: "Rip baby boy I love you so much u meant everything to me miss you already."
They explained: "Rolo was found dead by Harvey's carer and they had to phone Katie to break the news.
"Katie is devastated and heartbroken and had to call Princess and break the news. Everyone's in floods of tears.
"It was a tragic accident nobody could have foreseen - it's no one's fault, but Katie can't stop crying."
The snap showed the pair curled up on a sofa looking cosy and cute.
Katie bought her daughter the adorable dog for her 13th birthday last month and is said to be devastated.
A source told The Sun Online the pet was discovered at their Surrey home after a shockingly sad accident.
They explained: "Rolo was found dead by Harvey's carer and they had to phone Katie to break the news.
