THE Kissing Booth star Joey King admitted she made sacrifices to film "wild" and "difficult" scenes with ex-boyfriend and co-star Jacob Elordi.
The actress opened up on her experiences of filming a rom-com with her ex for the Netflix film.
Speaking on the , King, 20, said: "I know what everyone wants to know, of course.
"And yeah, it was crazy. It was a wild experience, but honestly, it was a really beautiful time because I learned a lot about myself and I grew as an actor, I grew as a person."
She elaborated on the break-up process to and how difficult it was dealing with intrusive fans.
"When you're going through something and the world wants to go through it with you or [wants] to get every piece of detail from you about it, it's really difficult. Some of these things are just meant for you."
"They can't understand, they can't grasp, that reality could be completely different and completely not the same as what you see.
"So I think that the reason why it was really difficult for them to let up on it is because they just have a fantasy idea of someone else's life, when it’s not like that at all."
In regards to the actual scenes the pair filmed together: "It was fine. It was good. I think for me because I am very much a frickin' huge fan of the Kissing Booth myself."
She continued: "I'm a fan of how it resonated with the world, it resonated with me, so going back and doing that and making the sacrifice of what, obviously, everyone is thinking about and what I'm not outwardly addressing, but what I’m kind of on the sly addressing, making those sacrifices was totally worth it."
