DENISE van Outen and Wayne Bridge are among celebs with skate expectations of starring in the new Dancing on Ice.
At least 17 hopefuls turned up for auditions — with 12 spots up for grabs when the ITV1 show returns next year.
Loose Women host and Strictly runner-up Denise, 46, looked confident as she arrived in a pink jumper.
Former England and Chelsea footballer Wayne, 39, swapped boots for his own skates.
They were joined at Slough Ice Arena, Berks, by two superfit Olympians — heptathlon champ Denise Lewis, 47, and swimmer Mark Foster, 50.
With TV work scarce during the virus pandemic, insiders said there was an “undercurrent of competition” on the rink.
A source said: “Everyone was in high spirits and excited to be working again.
“Places on a primetime show are lucrative and contestants get a huge career boost by taking part.
“There are likely to be other auditions for celebrities based in more remote areas, and even abroad.”
Darts sensation Fallon Sherrock, 26, could be arrowing in on a spot.
Actress Vicki Michelle, from 90s sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo! was the oldest at 69. Blue singer Antony Costa, 39, arrived smoking a cig.
A guest judge in 2009’s series four, he’d have to impress the current panel.

The reality TV contingent included Love Island’s Dr Alex George, 30, and Luke Trotman, 23, Towie’s Billie Faiers, 30, Made In Chelsea’s Olivia Bentley, 24, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race star Baga Chipz, 30.
Singer Toyah Willcox, 62, tried out alongside This Morning’s Lisa Maxwell, 56, comic Rufus Hound, 41, vlogger LadBaby, 33, and Tattoo Fixers’ Stephen “Sketch” Porter.
Training will start in autumn with filming from January. Actor Joe Swash and pro skater Alex Murphy won last year.
