Thankfully, the America's Got Talent judge did not contract the virus, although she was sick enough to be dismissed from her hosting duties.

"Heidi, you had your COVID scare, right? You're doing well now, right?" Kelly asks Heidi.
"I'm fine, I never had it," she replies.
"At the time when it hit America, and it hit Los Angeles, I all of a sudden got sick.
I had a fever, I had a cough, I wasn't feeling good. My body was aching everywhere. I got there and I told someone immediately that I wasn't feeling good....immediately the medic came to see how high my fever was.
"They dismissed me immediately and sent me home. Thankfully I never had it. Everyone did the right thing for sending me home."
Eric Stonestreet, Sofia Vergara's Modern Family co-star, happily obliged to fill in for Heidi while she was away.

Heidi further revealed that someone in her family is suffering with an autoimmune disease, therefore she has been extremely careful about social distancing.
"I haven't really seen anybody, gone anywhere, done anything!" she exclaimed.
