THE Real Housewives of Orange County star Meghan King rushed her dog Girly Girl to the vet on Thursday after noticing a strange “chemical burn”-looking mark.
The 35-year-old reality star adopted the golden doodle back in July 2016 when she was just a “baby.”
Upon noticing the dark bald patch, asked her Instagram followers what they thought it could be because she was nervous about it.
One suggested it could be “a reaction/chemical burn healing” to flea or tick medications.
Meghan replied: “No, I ruled this out. Ppl have said mange, a tick, anxiety, rabies shot, alopecia, a few said this is common with the breed, but most said it’s a hot spot.
“I’ll take her to the vet and get it checked out. Someone suggested she may need to be shaved. I’ll post an update.”
Prior to heading to a medical profession, another fan mentioned it could be “ringworm,” which only put the RHOC star more on edge about the situation.
In order to keep her three kids — daughter Aspen, 3, and , 2 — all of who she shares with ex , from getting upset by the mark, she told them Girly Girl “turned into Bolt (the Disney dog) so they think this weird hair patch is cool and special now.”
She kept her promise and made sure to update her 1 million followers on her trip to the vet with her pup to find out “what happened” to her back.
The 35-year-old shared: “Okay, so I think I have a typical case of Internet doctors because girly girl was just in and out in about 30 seconds. And they’re not charging me.
“…I’m gonna leave and then I’m gonna get a phone call from the vet and let you know what’s going on with this animal.”
Luckily for the concerned dog mom, it didn’t take long for the important call to arrive and put her mind at ease.
Meghan continued: “We just got home and the vet has spoken. Turns out, Girly Girl just has a little skin irritation.
“They suggested that it might have been from some flea or tick topical medication, but I don’t think so.
“Apparently sometimes, when you get your skin irritated like that, or a dog does, it just grows back, the fur grows back differently and they expect it’ll always be that color.
“It’ll be fluffy, so it’s gonna be like the rest of her fur, but just have a little lightning bolt stripe down the middle.”
What happened with Meghan King and Jim Edmonds from RHOC?
JIM Edmonds and Meghan King from the Real Housewives of Orange County split up over a cheating scandal.
Meghan filed for divorce from the retired baseball player in October of 2019.
Jim and Meghan share three children together: 3-year-old daughter Aspen and 2-year-old twin sons Hart and Hayes.
They split after Jim admitted to sexting with a woman well-known in the baseball world while Meghan was pregnant with their twin sons.
Meghan also accused Jim, 49, of inappropriate relations with the family's former young nanny, but he and the nanny denied these claims.
The retired baseball player recently slammed his "abusive and loveless" marriage to the fellow reality star.
In the end, she told her original commenters that “Girly girl doesn’t have a hot spot, ringworm, rabies, mange, a tick or anything at all” and that she is going to be absolutely “FINE.”
This bit of good news about her dog’s fur issue comes as Meghan’s dealing with a nasty divorce from ex Jim, in which she’s from him.
She allegedly said she would sign a non-disclosure agreement in exchange for an additional million in the settlement.
