Rebel cousin Amy Duggar hit with over $53K tax debt after breaking ties with famous family
REBEL cousin Amy Duggar and her husband, Dillon King, have been hit with a tax lien for over $53,000 after breaking ties with her famous family.
The Sun can exclusively reveal , 33, and Dillon were slapped with a federal tax lien in the amount of $53,719.43 on March 9, 2020 for the 2016 and 2017 years.
The Arkansas Clerk of Court confirmed to The Sun that the tax lien has not been released as of July 8.
The parents of son Daxton, who they welcomed in October 2019, were also hit with a state tax lien in the amount of $12,810.23 in February 2019 for the 2016 and 2017 years.
The debt was paid off in September 2019.
Dillon is founder of restaurant Wellington’s in , while Amy is owner of 3130 Clothing boutique.
Amy opened her store in 2018, where she that goes against the Duggar family’s modest dress code.
The money issues come after Amy’s break from her , as she hasn’t appeared on their reality show Counting On.
Amy recently claimed over Instagram Live that she is unable to talk about the Duggar family because she signed a non-disclosure agreement.
It has been long rumored that cousin Amy, who has appeared frequently on 19 Kids and Counting, is unable to speak about her famous family because of an NDA.
In March, Amy had an interview on YouTube channel Without a Crystal Ball, but the video was set to private.
Host Katie Joy said in a video: "I had the chance to speak with Amy Duggar King. While this video was premiering, I received a message from Amy that someone wanted the video down. Someone.
"When I found out shortly after this video went live and while it was premiering that this video would need to come down, I was shocked. Nothing was said negatively at all about this family.”
Amy then tweeted: "I've said it once, I'll say it again... 'A woman's voice should never be silenced.’”
But the alleged NDA hasn’t stopped Amy from taking digs at her estranged relatives.
She appeared to by tweeting: “People want to follow Real people!! Not stock photos where you act like your life is perfect! No- we want to see the mess, the hard moments too. People need to stop trying so hard…”
